Actually, I made a passing reference to this already in my topic... but yes, it's great news, isn't it? Since they say its a major Pokemon game, it likely isn't a minor spin-off game, or a patch to a previous game like the Plat. update to Pokemon Ranch. Possiblities include... - A new Wii Pokemon game along the lines of either another Stadium-type game, or a new RPG like Colloseum/XD - A new spin-off series, like they did with Ranger and Mystery Dungeon - Gen V (I doubt it, though; in every other gen, they've revealed Pokes of the next gens long before the actual games come out, but we haven't seen a single Gen V Poke yet!) - And of course Gold/Silver remakes (seems like the most likely one, and one I would personally like to see) |

YES INDEED. There's a short vid on Youtube that shows it (and you can hear the New Bark Town theme if you listen closely); Serebii has pics of it as well. |

Yeah, I just went to Serebii... Wow. I wonder if it applies only to your starter, or if you can pick any Pokemon to walk around with you. It'd make no sense for it to be the former. Awesome. |

Well, y'know, it might be hard for them to make a out-of-battle sprite for absolutely every Pokemon, but if it's more than simply the starter it'll probably be larger than Amity Square's amount, at least. |

Now I don't know if I should get Platinum or wait for this to come out. Also, I'm guessing not every Poke will be able to walk behind you. At the very least I don't think some of the legendaries and huge Pokes like Snorlax will be able to walk behind you. And if they do the Kanto section again, they better add more to it. And make the Gyms actually challenging. |

We've got a new scan, people... We now know that the starter following you isn't a temporary thing at least, and there's several more piece of artwork around, including Lugia & Ho-Oh, and the new playable trainers... and it appears the opposite gender trainer will have a gameplay role like Brendan/May and Lucas/Dawn... but... Okay, Gold looks good, the shorts are the only real notable change, but... what the heck happened to Kris?! |

Wow, this is the first time since Crystal (besides FR, where it would just be wrong) that I won't be playing the girl. Seriously, WTF is that hat. Also, you can have a Pichu follow you around. Awesome. Edited by Memento Mori, May 12 2009, 08:09 PM.

New scan! This one shows the artwork for Elm, the Rival ('Silver', if you want to call him that), and a female Rocket Grunt. Elm looks almost exactly the same, and the Rival has been 'modernized', so to say, like Gold was. Not sure I like the new hairstyle, but he otherwise looks alright. Oh, and apparently the Hoenn version mascots are available in HG/SS. You need both games to get all three, though. |

It's a bad sign when the female Rocket Grunt looks like a more appropriate female trainer than the actual female trainer. |

<Vyse> Duuude <Vyse> Arceus event in HGSS <Jinja> ? <Vyse> And Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza <Vyse> http://serebii.net/index2.shtml <Vyse> The latter isn't very surprising <Vyse> DSi means no Pal Park <Vyse> So DSi users would have to get Gen 3 legendaries some other way. <Vyse> I'm predicting, right now, a new Wii game, a la Colosseum and XD, featuring Mewtwo and possibly Mew. <Vyse> Jirachi, Latios, and Latias will probably be event Pokemon for HG/SS. |

You came to the same conclusion I did, Vyse. I feel that this is their way of ending dependency of the GBA games. Many Gen II Pokes previously only obtainable in Gen III are obviously available in HG/SS (alongside the GBA slot FR/LG Pokes), the Hoenn version mascots are here, and I feel that there will be some way to obtain the Hoenn starters and the Ruby/Sapphire GBA slot Pokes. There is apparently a Jirachi event going on in Japan right now, so it's possible that more Pokes will be available through Mystery Gift. |

Wow, the news keep on getting better and better. It's been confirms that every single Pokemon is allowed to follow you, even big ones like Steelix. And the touch screen navigation is being improved, for the Pokedex, items, and PC Boxes. |

Eusine is back! There are a few facts that appear to be circulating around, including Lugia and Ho-Oh being at Level 45 when you are able to catch them, the Red Gyarados being catchable at level 30, the Kimono Girls playing some role in the story, and being able to catch Lati@s and Mewtwo. |
