Heya. Well, as I said, this obviously isn't the last set of Pokemon games; we can expect to see a 5th gen and more. This question is, what things do you want to see in it? Here are things I'd like to see... - Gold and Silver remakes. I'll get that out of the way, since we all want it. - A baby form for Tauros and Miltank that evolves based on gender, making the two Pokemon officially related (like the Hitmons) - Evolutions for Pokemon that really need it; such as, Farfetch'd, Delibird, Quilfish, Spinda, Luvdisc; etc. Not Dunsparce, though, as it can't become any greater for its own good. - NO MORE events for things that aren't a super-secret Pokemon; I'm looking at you, Poketch applications and Secret Key for Rotom forms! Things like that should be available in the main game, or even as a bonus for owning another game (such as one of the console games) - A Dragon-type that is weaker than the likes of Dragonite, Salamence, etc., but gains Fire as its secondary type. Most notably, Trainer Customization. I'll go a bit in detail over this one. Bascially, what I'd like is a more detailed version of PBR's version. You'd have a few body types, and have full options for eye, skin, and hair colour. Like PBR, you can choose the clothing, with similar options to PBR's but unlike PBR, the clothing isn't merely a colour/design alternation; there would be many different types of clothing available. Included would be pieces of other Trainer's outfits; you can have a Bug Catcher's hat, the suit of whatever the evil team is, or the outfit of the 2nd Gym Leader, for example; the only restriction is gender for some cases. In addition, you can buy more, and one place (either in the store where you buy clothing or your own house) lets you change clothing. You would even be able to choose the Trainer's battle pose. It seems like the next best step, seeing as a prototype is already in place, and the next main handheld (DSi is more of a DS upgrade than a new handheld entirely) may have the capability of doing this. Anyways, those are the things I can think of at this point. |

RPG like the handhelds, except in full 3D, and an MMO. Maybe an offline handheld counterpart. Full character customization. Bring the pokes out of their balls more; walk around with 'em. Hell, while we're at it, work over the battle system from turn-based to real time. A more involved storyline. I could go on for hours. Sky's the limit! |

A firefly. It would be a Fire/Bug type. And it would be Borderline or better. I'm sick of Bug-types being UU or NU! The only usable ones are Scizor, Heracross and Yanmega for crying out loud! The others all suck! And almost all of them are Bug/Flying! I've always liked the Bug-type, but there really need to be a few good ones. |

Bug/Fire would still have the 4x Rock weakness, one of several things that makes all those Bug/Flying Pokemon underused now. Stealth Rock just murders them. Yanmega and (to a lesser extent) Ninjask are the main exceptions, and I think Yanmega gets used mainly because it can flinchhax (Ninjask almost always leads, so it doesn't have to worry about SR). The other two you listed (and you forget Forretress) have a second type to negate the Rock weakness. A firefly would be cool, though, and it's a pretty obvious one to make, too. Wonder how GameFreak missed that. It could also work as a Bug/Electric (Bug would negate the Ground weakness). Edited by Memento Mori, Nov 13 2008, 10:51 PM.

I thought of those two, but they suck and I don't acknowledge them. Tail Glow does not a Firefly Pokemon make. |

All of what has been said thus far. ALL OF IT. >C *Thought he was the only one who noticed the Tauros/Miltank thing* Under 9000 legendaries per game, plz. 5-6 max, maybe. A Fire move that goes off of Attack for Flareon. Less crazy lookin Pokermanz with spikes and glowy lines and robot bits. Moar of what they did in Gold and Silver, where you went to other continents and got their gym badges. Moar Professor Oak. MOAR I SAY. Moar ribbons. I like those. Moar TMs. Moar abstract evolutions. Mantyke's makes me lol. Moar animations. Mebbie something to replace HMs...I personally find it annoying to have to reserve a spot on my team for a HM Slave. Items would work, like a raft to Surf, jackhammer for Rock Smash, a flashlight for Flash.....Fly would either have to stay, or become something silly, like a jet pack or a pocket helecopter. S'all I can think of right away. |

Right, forgot Forretress. Volbeat/the female one I remembered, but they suck. I want a real firefly. And Bug/Electric would be cool too. Honestly, I just want some decent Bug-types and type combinations they havn't already done a thousand times (Water, Bug/Flying, Grass/Poison, etc) |

Doob, I agree that they should try and stop the HM dominance, though at this point I can't see them doing it. One thing they could at least do it to permanently get rid of things like smashed rocks and trees that can be Cut once you Rock Smash/Cut/etc. them the first time. One other thing I'd like to see if a Pokemon Prof. who actually battles. We know Oak did in the past, but I mean during the course of the game. Oh, and Vyse... what could you elaborate a bit on what you mean difficulty settings? I know The Stadium games and PBR had them, but what sort of things would you want changed between them? |

Smarter opponents. More balanced teams. Opponents capable of switching. Battle style locked into Set. No ridiculous h4x like in the Battle Tower, but I'm tired of facing six Bidoof. |

MOAR BIDOOF. I say a secret E4 that only uses Ratatta, Bidoof, Sentret, and Zigzagoon. But they have h4x stats. And they're harder than the normal E4. >C |

! I just remembered something! My brother and I both wanted this. Remember back in R/B/Y when that Team Rocket recruiter asked you to join Team Rocket? I want a game where there's a "yes" option. And then you could go on missions to steal Pokemon instead of just fighting the Elite Four. Or at the very least, you could fight police officers instead of Team Rocket members. The problem with having more than one save file is that they'd have to reduce the number of pokemon you can keep-- all those pokes take up a huge amount of memory space, even considering that most of the stats are calculated from the IVs, hidden stats etc. When they make better technology maybe... But the only reason you'd really WANT another memory file would be to get more legendaries or TMs. |

the real reason i want more than 1 save file per cartridge it because i have brothers and we all want to play the whole game.I would also like a training area where you can always fight diferent (and hard) trainers to gain experience and not just wait for the vs seeker. |

Platinum sorta has that. It's like...a bar full of gym leaders and other people you've met and you can fight them. I think it randomly fills the place up with people. I think it might be a daily event thing though... |

Some things I thought about... - As an add-on to the Tauros/Miltank thing, Pokemon that have both a male and female 'version' (like Volbeat/Illumise) would have an equal chance to produce an Egg with either version (much like the Nidorans already do). There would be an Incense-type item that could be used to make it so it can always be the female (or male in a male-Ditto pairing) - On that note... do we really need Incenses in the first place? Does anybody actually care whether a Pokemon hatches into a lower evolutionary state than it did in a previous gen? There are tons of bigger plot holes of more pressing matter (some, such as how a bite can be a special move and how hatched Pokemon used to hatch at level 5 when wild Pokemon could be found at lower levels, have been rectified. Others, such as why female Marowak can breed a Cubone without dying before the Pokemon is hatched, or how Lance haxxors his Dragonites, haven't) - On that note... make a 'Nidoran' Egg Group that only consists of the Nidoran lines. Allow Nidorina and Nidoqueen, Pokemon that have been known to have nests and children, to breed already! - Make there some way for Pokemon that evolve by way of stones (Raichu, Clefable, etc.) to be able to learn moves that the prevolution could, instead of cutting them off their old moveset. For example, what if the Move Relearner could teach the moves of the lower evolutions of these Pokemon? - Absolutely, positively, NO MORE ONE-TIME TMs. Every TM should be reobtainable in some fashion (trading with others/breeding the TM moves don't count) - Give Dragonite a second ability choice that's a little less situational than Inner Focus. Maybe get Lance to haxxor one for his favourite Pokemon. |

I'm sorry, but you kept talking about male and female, and so I saw incense.....and I could've sworn you put "incest". Me: There would be an Incest-type ite-WHOA, WHUT. CAN WE HAVE TWINCEST TOO?! Then again here...
Me: YES, WE NEED TWINCE-oh, dammit. So, yeah, I just want more Electric/Ghost types. >___> Edited by Berserker Swordsman, Jan 22 2009, 07:29 PM.

I thought about this, and I think the ideal number of legendaries per game would be 7. A trio, two version mascots, a third, hard-to-get Poke that ends up being easily obtainable in the third version where it is the mascot, and an event Poke. This would be the setup for G/S/C's legendaries if Crystal version had a different (nonexistent) legendary than Suicune. Also, I want the move Beat Up buffed. Interesting concept for a move, wasted because it sucks. |
