Pokemon: Diamond Version is mine! ... of course, I don't actually have a DS yet, but once I finish this course I'm doing, I will... just three more weeks... I happened to have a gift card, so I decided to get the Pokemon game in advance; I got Diamond since my old game was Pearl. So, I'll have four games for my DS when I get it (KSSU, FFIV DS, Pokemon Diamond, and I get to have a fourth game that I can buy with my savings alongside my DS once I finish the course; any suggestions?) Soon, I'll be back with you guys, playing teh Pogeymanz; can't wait. |

Unfortunately, neither of those work for me. I fully plan to get Platinum at some point, and CT DS soon after it comes out, but I need a Pokemon game NOW (the closest I have currently is Emerald on emu) and I have to get the game at the same time as the DS, since I don't carry the card which my savings is on. |

Anyways, I'm gonna buy the DS and the game next week... the course I'm doing ends near the end of November, so we're doing it then to avoid the Christmas rush (which, last year, made it a HUGE ordeal to get the Wii) For the record, the course will allow me to sell life insurance... I never, ever expected to do something like that. |

Hmmm... I hope they tell us when Platinum is coming out here soon... I'd like to know whether I should use Diamond as my main Pokemon game, or use it as a base for beefing up Platinum... of course, it'd be a lot easier if I still had my old Pearl games... |

Well, I did mention in the KSSU topic that I would buy a new DS if I didn't get my old one back soon enough. Starting November, it'll be an entire year since I had my old one, and it looks like I'm not going to get my old one back for at least another year, even longer. I'm not waiting anymore. My Dad is going to see if he can send me some of my old games; hopefully I can get my old Pearl game as one of them. Except for getting Pokemon Diamond, I'm not going to buy any game I already own; hopefully, I'll get Pearl, MK DS, FFIII DS, and the GBA games I took, which include my Sapphire and FireRed games, for starters. I'm going to see if I can get that Pokemon Limited edition DS, with the Dialga & Palkia pattern on it; if not, I'll get a blue, red, or white one (my old one was Oynx/black) |

Alright, I got it! I decided to get the Metallic Silver DS; appropriate choice for me, don't you think? I didn't even know they made them in silver... the game I got was Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I happened to do this at a time where you get a $20 gift card for buying a DS and a game over 19.95 (which is exactly what I did), so that's a nice bonus. |

oh yeah i renember when i got pokemon diamond. snif how many good memories. It came with and special dialga stilus and i wonder if platinium will come with a giratina original form stilus. phantom hourglass it really interesting enjoy it. i wonder how are they gonna make with the new forms(in platinum), i mean will i be able to look then in my diamond and/or pearl game? and what about PBR will they appear there? |

Serebii mentioned that when connecting to D/P, the forms unique to Platinum will change back if they are traded over, and if they are used in a battle against a D/P player, they will look like their old form, but have the stats and abilities of their other forms. And as a guess, I think in PBR they'll have their old forms but new stats and abilities as well. Check out this page on Forms for more info. |

It's interesting to note that they're releasing an upgrade for Ranch to make it compatible with Platinum, so maybe they'll do that for PBR? Might be more likely to make a PBR2 though. |

Yea, I has me a Jap version of Platinum. They do change back if you move em onto anything else. Or if you battle someone from DP with em. Plat is really nice though. Looking forward to it comin out. We'll have to battle sometime, SD. |

Well, I currently have six games for my new DS; Diamond, Zelda, FFIV, KSSU, Dragon Quest IV, and Disgaea DS... and when I get CT DS, which comes out a few days after I get ahold of my DS, that'll be seven. ... that means five of seven games that I'll have are remakes >_> But then again, they were all excellent games before, so they'll still be good now. EDIT: Actually, now I have seven, since I decided to get a Phoenix Wright game (Trials and Tribulations), since I never had the chance to play one. CT will be next on my list. I'm probably gonna make Platinum my main game once it comes out; Diamond is more of a way to end my craving for Pokemon games before it comes out. Edited by Silver Dragoon, Nov 10 2008, 01:48 PM.

Well, I've gotten my first badge and evolved ol' Piplup... funny thing is, my main four are the exact same four as I had in the early part of Pearl as well; Piplup (well, this isn't a coincidence, I just like him), Starly, Shinx, and Machop... then again, I guess the latter trio are three of the best ones for the early game... Anyways, I hope I can fix up my DS Wi-Fi this week; obviously I won't be battling for a while, but trading and such is always an option. On a side note, most of my starting games I knew I would like, seeing as I've either played the original version of or another game in its series, but I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying Phoenix Wright. It's... well, fun. |

Phoenix Wright is ridiculous fun. Also, you should have set up your Wi-Fi, then traded for a bunch of eggs so you could run through the game with your favorites. Would have made them for you. |

The only problem with that, Vyse, is that I don't know when I'm gonna be able to get on my DS's Wi-Fi at all (the problem is the security setting; I can't find how to change it), and I didn't want to wait for potentially months just for that. For Platinum, however, I might do very well do that. Hah, at first, I was worried that PW would be too short; only 5 cases in a game!? ... then I actually played some of it. PW: And that, Your Honour, is why [Client] can't be guilty! Judge: Well, it's that's everything, I hereby... Prosecutor: HOLD IT! Haven't we forgotten about [insert random detail lacking evidence that implies that defendant may still be guilty] Judge: Well, in that case, we must continue with the case. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I've done it, humans! The great King Deist has overpowered the fearsome beast known as WPA and restored WEP to its rightful place in the kingdom of Linksys! Nobody can defeat the mighty son of Baha- *Ahem* Sorry, got a little carried away there, but I'm very happy. I managed to change the security settings on my router, so I can Wi-Fi with my DS again! I added my Diamond version FC to the Pokecode list. Anyways, I've just gotten my seventh badge, so the Hall of Fame & National Dex isn't too far off for me. |

I had forgotten how awesome the battle against Cynthia for the first time is... after defeating Spiritomb and Gastrodon, I was up against her powerhouse, Garchomp. Now, Empoleon's Ice Beam could take down it down in a single shot. Only problem is, Chompy's faster, and its Earthquake could take Empoleon down in a single shot. So, how do I take it down? Staraptor is the key! Intimidate, switch to Gabite (who was only there for the sake of having a sixth Pokemon and holding the Amulet Coin), let Gabite be defeated, switch to Staraptor again, Intimidate, switch to Empoleon, have him take a weakened EQ, and Ice Beam to victory! ... until, of course, Lucario came up next and almost slaughtered the poor Pokes. So when I finally took it down, only Dialga (like Palkia before it, I only use it for the E4 and if I want to mess around) was remaining. Fortunately, Milotic, the last real threat, loved to use Mirror Coat while I took the time to revive and heal my team. I whittled down Milotic's Power Points (thank you, Pressure!), until almost defeating it with Roar of Time, and getting Mirror Coat'd. But at that point, Luxray just wiped it out with one spark. Two Ice Beams took out Roserade, and I was done! First star on my Trainer Card (I hope I can meet up with Phil at some point to do the Underground stuff for my second star, which I had in Pearl and was going for the Master Rank Contest and National Dex completion) |
