In case you didn't know, there's a remake of Kirby Super Star coming out this very month.. it comes out on the same day as the new Wario Land game, in fact.

I really, REALLY wish I had my DS back now. Honestly, if I don't get it back soon, I'm friggin' buying a new one. There are TOO MANY awesome new DS games I want but can't get.

But, anyways, it's gonna be awesome. There's even having new games in it, including a game where Meta Knight is the playable character.

I didn't know about this before Tuesday, when I went to hand in an employment application at Gamestop and saw the box.

I want it. I've never played, let alone owned, a Kirby game before, and this seems like a very good game to start with.

... really? You've NEVER played a Kirby game before? Well, you will certainly see some similarities to Smash when you play.

And yes, this is a good one to start out with. Super Star is widely considered the best Kirby game. Plus, it comes with a sort-of remake of the original Dream Land in it (it has one less level and is overall shorter, but still good for a starter)

The good: We get to experience Milky Way Wishes again.

The bad: We get to experience The Great Cave Offensive again.

WTF.....What happened to the Kirby game they promised like two years ago?! DON'T GO REMAKING STUFF ON THE DS WHEN YOU TELL US YOU'RE RELEASING A DIFFERENT GAME TWO YEARS EARLIER.

I mean, yeah, it got moved from Gamecube to Wii, but where the heck is it?!

Oh, I had forgotten all about that game.... Where is it? It wasn't even mentioned at E3. Then again, hardly anything was mentioned at E3. >_>

...It has occurred to me that we can, once again, blame Sakurai for this. :D

It's quite simple, really. HAL has come to the realization that they can't make a Kirby game that's better than Super Star was. The only one to come close was Squeak Squad, with its amazing storyline and clear message; if you take Kirby's cake, you DIE. So, they have decided to only release new versions of Super Star, with more games added onto it each time.

*adjusts security lens in Nintendo's briefing room* Oh, that guy thinks he'll get away with stealing that donut....BUT I WON'T FORGET.

I recall reading somewhere that he scrapped the Kirby game and simply used the engine he had built for Subspace Emissary...

I bought this today. Went through Spring Breeze, Gourmet Race, and Dyna Blade. I gotta say it's been pretty easy so far, but Zeke assured me that those are, specifically, the easy games. So we'll see how it goes.

I really like it so far.

Sword is still the best, although Beam gets notable mention because it doesn't suck anymore. Kirby's jump mechanic is kinda screwy though.....Using aerial moves is kinda annoying because you have to get out of the puffed-up form before you can attack. I think it was the same way in all other Kirby games, but it suddenly seems bothersome.

Yeah, Sword Kirby is great, but I love Suplex Kirby, too. <.< And yeah, having to do the air attack before you can use your ability is kind of annoying.

Yeah, BS, it was always like that, ever since the original Dream Land (of course, since there were no powers, it was one of your few attacks anyways)

I'm fond of Mirror and Yoyo, both of which are underused in Kirby games.

Speaking of the original Dream Land, the remix of Castle Lololo (used when battling Dyna Blade and WBR) is awesome, and Kabula (the Dream Land boss that isn't in Spring Breeze) is back. Hopefully, I'm getting back my DS this month so I can get this.

I had Yoyo for a little while. It was pretty awesome.

Another source of entertainment in this game is seeing all of Kirby's SSB attacks in their original forms. Seriously, how could they use that flame charge thing in Melee instead of Wheel Kirby (or whatever turns you into the wheel)?

I dunno, Burning was actually pretty appropriate for a dash attack. If it was Wheel, it seems like it'd have to be a pretty long attack. I like the yoyo dash move better myself, though.

Eh, I guess Wheel would fit better as a Side B move, like Yoshi's. And yeah, the Yo-yo dash attack is pretty awesome. Seems like everyone stops guarding before the last hit...

It's true, he really does.

Anyways, I'm going to get a DS this month, whether it's my old one or a new one.

Anyways, I just got this game today, despite not having a DS. Well, either I'm getting my old one on the weekend, or a new one in November, so either way I'll have a new game waiting for me.

I finished The Great Cave Offensive earlier. Zeke was right; the other three games definitely belong to the "easy" set. TGCO was the most fun I've had yet, too.

Now for Revenge of Meta Knight!

You know exactly what I mean, Vyse. But, I am going to get CT DS when it comes out, too. And if I do get a new DS (I have a deal in which I will get some funding if a do a course, hence why I must wait until November), the first (or should I say, second, since I already have KSSU) game will be Pokemon Diamond. But of course, I'd rather have my old Pearl game back.

It seems you're quite enjoying yourself, Vyse. Keep in mind that most Kirby games are sort of short (Super Star isn't) and usually easy (but some, like Super Star, do have tough moments), but tend to have lots of replay value.
