... what Pokemon type would you specialize in? ... actually, why don't we make this more interesting... Make a team of six of what your Gym Leader team would be, provided it revolves around your main Pokemon type. Like the Sinnoh Leaders, you can have Pokemon that aren't of that type on your team, but at least half of the team must of of your chosen type (ideally more), and those that aren't must be able to learn some moves of your type, and make sense to be on your team. Order your team based on what levels they'd be, with the lowest first and the highest last (like the gym leaders in the game do); the last, highest-level Pokemon MUST be your chosen type. And NO legendaries! Also, if you want, you can say what your trademark attack is (as in, the one that the Gym Leader gives out as a TM), and what you'd call your badge. Most importantly, the Pokemon type must match something that fits you. It should be something that suits you, and has a Pokemon you particularly like in it. And your team does NOT have to be super-powerful; remember, this is a Gym Leader team, not a Metagame team. Anyways... I think it's fairly obvious what my type would be... the Dragon Type! Name: Dracian Gonzel (nicknamed 'Dray Gonz' by his subordinates, goes by 'Ian' when posing as a regular trainer) Appearance: Medium length dark brown hair, black jacket with silvery dragon patterns, beige pants, grey gloves, black hat with a Poke Ball image. Looks like an average trainer for the most part. Also has a more 'traditional' outfit in the style of Lance and the Dragon Tamer class, coloured silver and black. Type: Likes dragonlike Pokemon, especially those of the Dragon type. Uses strong, reliable attacks in battle. Info: The top gym trainer of the previous Gym Leader, Dray earned the title after his mentor retired. Likes to train as a regular trainer outside the Gym, and is a bit laid-back and rarely acts serious. However, in a major battle, tends to become more focused and intense. Likes strong Pokemon, but understands that some times the strongest Pokemon come from the weaker ones, as he learned with his first Pokemon, Dratini. Pokeball: Top half is black, bottom half is silver, midline and button are red. The top half has an image of his badge on it. If a mid-rank Gym Leader (It'd be highly unlikely that the Dragon leader would be an early Gym Leader) Seadra - Uses reliable moves like Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse Vibrava - Uses moves like Dragonbreath and Sand Tomb to annoy opponents. Charizard - Shiny; a gift from the previous Gym Leader. The powerhouse of the team, knows Blast Burn for dire situations. Dragonair - Dracian's original Pokemon; a well-balanced fighter with balanced moves. If a later Gym Leader (Seems like the type to be Gym Leader #8, don't you think?) Gabite - A recent recruit onto the team and the least experienced. Uses accuracy-reducing moves and paralysis with Dragonbreath. Flygon Kingdra Charizard (Shiny) Dragonite - Dray's original and strongest Pokemon. Uses the Dragon Dance + Outrage combo to defeat enemies quickly. Will destroy underlevelled Pokemon. Final 'Super' Team Garchomp - Does the 'annoyer' role previously filled by Flygon. Aggron - Added to counter Ice-types. A tank who uses moves like Stone Edge and Earthquake. Kingdra Salamence - The previous Gym Leader's strongest Pokemon; given to Dracian to help out with his battling. The special move expert of the team. Charizard (Shiny) Dragonite - Once again, the physical powerhouse of the team. Gym Trainers: Dragon Tamers, Ace Trainers, Pokemaniacs Battle Theme: Johto Trainer Battle Remix Midbattle Quote: If you think I'm done, you should know that dragons are most dangerous when provoked. This battle is far from over! Trademark Move: Dragon Pulse; Outrage Badge: Scale Badge Well, that's mine. Give it a shot! |

Electricity/Ghost all the way! Team (in order of strength): Pikachu Plusle Manectric Banette Haunter Ampharos Pikachu for teh lulz, Plusle because I LOVE THAT LITTLE GUY <3, Manectric just looks like the king of all Lightning Pokemon, Banette is pretty cool, HAUNTER ('Nuff said), and Ampharos is my favorite Pokemon of all time. Basically, I like these two types the most. Dark offers a better set of choices overall over Ghost IMO, but Haunter beats them all. My Haunter from Red was amazing....Not just because Psychic types owned back then, but Haunter itself is just an awesome Pokemon. And Lightning has always been my favorite element. SHOCK WAVE FTW. <3 Trademark Move: Zap Cannon/Dream Eater Badge: Shadowbolt Badge Edited by Berserker Swordsman, Aug 15 2008, 10:06 PM.

Before I do mine, BS, I have a suggestion for your badge name: Shadowbolt. Alright, for my type, I would choose either Ice or Water. I'm not sure which. I like the element of ice better than the water element, but I like Water-type Pokemon better than Ice-Type Pokemon. So I'll make a team for both. Fun fact: I already have an all-ice team. Ice-Type Weavile Abomasnow Froslass Mamoswine Walrein Glaceon Abomasnow is second to set up the everlasting Hail. All the other Pokemon have abilities that help them during Hail, like Snow Cloak and Ice Body. Walrein's such a pain to take down when he has Ice Body, Leftovers and Rest. Glaceon's just plain powerful. His Special Attack....*drools* Trademark Move: Blizzard (never miss during a Hailstorm! ^_^) Badge: Chill Badge Water-Type Omastar Empoleon Slowbro Sharpedo Starmie Tentacruel Just a bunch of my favourite water types. I've always liked Omastar, Tentacruel and Starmie, although every time I think of Starmie I'm reminded of Misty's Starmie butchering my team over and over again... Trademark Move: Surf Badge: Riptide Badge |

Yeah, they made a lot of cool new Ghost types. I wish Rotom had better stats though. And SD, I have the Ice team, but a few of them aren't levelled enough to get the attacks I want. And I technically have the Water team minus Slowbro, but it's scattered across a couple of my Pokemon games. Once my Ice team is done I plan on making it my Metagame team and seeing how well it does. Actually, you know what? I'm going to go work on my Ice team right now... |

Specializes in plant pokemon. all pokemon look like trees (relatively look like) Torterra Shiftree Exeggutor Tropias Ludicolo Sudowoodo spelling may be off. You know, if you want a tree Pokemon, Abomasnow is the Snow Tree Pokemon. >_> That is a cool team though, I don't think that's ever been done. The closest is probably Erika, but only because she uses Grass-types. And SD: were you planning on doing a Gym Leader thing like what Wii24 tried to do? If so, I would gladly be the Ice Leader. Leader Info: Has a jet back and some rocket boots, and a sci-fi helmet. Likes Pokemon that are 'robot-like'. So...basically steel types. Bronzor - Low leveled, spams protect and confusion. Lairon - Also spams protect, ground moves to take out fire types Claydol - Ok, not a steel type, but it reminds me of a robot. : D Spams ground to take out fire, and Psychic to beat fighting. Also has Calm Mind. Probopass - Wall. Uses Iron Defense to boost def, Discharge to paralyze fighters, and Earth Power for those firez. Magnezone - Sets up Barrier, and uses Mirror Shot and Zap Cannon. Also spams Thunder Wave. Metagross - Shiny. Always uses Rock Polish on the first turn, and most subsequent turns are Meteor Mash. Might throw in an Earthquake once in a while though. Gives TM 9001, Meteor Mash. Gives the Mech Badge. Edited by Doob Zurz, Aug 18 2008, 06:47 PM.

Well, Pyrex... that's a good idea. Not exactly what I was referring to... actually, I was considering a story of sorts... Also, I would intend these to be the 'final' teams of the Gym Leaders; remember in Emerald, you could refight Gym Leaders? Obviously, the teams first fought would be weaker... I'm going to edit my original post to add some stuff... the appearances is a good idea, and I think a name and such would be nice (you know how most Gym Leaders have a name that references their type?) |

Alright, I've decided I like Ice better than Water, so I'll post my remake in the new format here. Name: Sleet (for lack of a better name) Appearance: Wears an outfit similar to the one the Karate Guys wear, except it's a really light blue colour, with white collars and cuffs. The line between blue and white is jagged to ressemble a snowy mountain top. His shoulder length hair is a snowy white, and his eyes are a harsh light blue. Favourite Type: Ice Bio: Sleet was born in the Stark Mountains, while his parents were on a hiking trip. He barely survived to make it to the hospital, and the ordeal somehow made his hair grow pure white. Most people would be freaked out by this, and never go near a cold area again, but Sleet found himself drawn back to the ice. When he was only 10 he found his first Pokemon, an Eevee stranded in the cold, and took it in. It soon evolved into his Glaceon. When he was old enough, he decided to try and become a Gym Leader, and challenged the local Leader for control of the Gym. He won, and has since led the Gym. Sleet is very quiet, and while he normally isn't a very friendly person, he isn't mean either. In battle, however, he is absolutely heartless, and does not let up until he wins. Other Notes: He uses special Pokeballs, with a light blue bottom and a white top for all of his Pokemon except for Abomasnow and Glaceon. The line that separates them is jagged as well, to make it look more like a snowy mountain. Abomasnow's Pokeball has a green bottom and a white top. Glaceon's Pokeball is pure white. Team (first fight) Sneasel - Up first to get a few quick kills in with Ice Punch and Night Slash. Abomasnow - Sets up Hail so he and the others can use Blizzard without missing. Switches to Sealeo instantly if a Fire-type is sent out. Frosslass - Spams Shadow Ball and Blizzard Piloswine - A physical titan. Just uses Earthquake and Stone Edge over and over unless it's inneffective. Sealeo - The team's tank. Can take all manners of damage and still survive. Glaceon - Sleet's most offensively powerful Pokemon. Will annihilate anything without a resistance to Ice or high Special Defence (or Blissey....) Team (second fight) Weavile - He evolved! Abomasnow - Nothing new here Froslass - Learns Thunderbolt Mamoswine - He evolved too! And learned Ice Fang! Yay! Walrein - Another evolution! And he got a Leftovers! Huzzah! Glaceon - Nothing new here. Gives Blizzard Badge: Chill Badge Edited by Yaypenguins, Aug 19 2008, 04:01 PM.

Type: Dark Name: Dusk Likes pokemon of the twilight. Taciturn (but not emo) young girl with medium length black hair, wearing purple and gray clothing of a flowy nature. First Fight: Murkrow Houndour Shedinja Mightyena Second fight: Staraptor Absol Wobuffet Rapidash (Shiny) Umbreon Houndoom Staraptor because I also like flying types, and I think he looks more evil than Honchkrow. Absol, Umbreon and Houndoom are my favorite dark types, Shiny rapidash is awesome and dusky looking, and Wobbuffet just fucks everything up because of his undeniable evil. Badge: Abyss badge Move: Dark Pulse |

Haha, thanks. For the outfit, you can use either one I mentioned. The dragon patterns don't need to be details, as they're only distinguishable closeup and most of it is on the back anyways (i.e. if he was a ally Trainer in a double battle, you would be able to see them clearer). For the badge, either a silver scale or a silver dragon's head would work; style it on the Rising Badge if you want, but not merely a silver version of it. The background... just choose what looks good. For a quote... how 'bout ... "Your passion burns like a dragon's fire... haha, I've always wanted to say that." Also, remember that Charizard is shiny, and since it and Dragonite are his favourites, they should be the ones closest to him. |

OK, it's time to do this. Unfortunately, YP stole Ice type.... And then BS took Electric... and then KFox took Dark. ;_; That leaves me with Fire. Midbattle quote: I think I'm breaking a sweat! I'd probably go for an all-Eevee gym, with Espeon being at the top, or an all-canine and mostly fire team (Ninetales, Arcanine, Houndoom, Flareon, etc)... but, since we're limited to the 'type' theme gyms, and somebody already took the fire gym, this idea is what I came up with: Type: Normal Badge: Heart Badge Can't really think of any descriptions for the gym leader yet (hard to think of a guy 'steriotype' running this gym, so no name or clothing style jumps out at me). First team: Lopunny Blissey Togetic Second team: Espeon Umbreon Lopunny Togekiss Crobat Blissey The signature move would, of course, be "Return", and Blissey would probably be the toughest. But then, Blissey seems to do that anyways. x_x He'd probably make the obligatory concerned remarks during the battle- "Hang in there, Lopunny", or "Poor Togetic!", etc. Edited by Alablast, Aug 20 2008, 04:14 PM.

Well, I did actually consider Kangaskhan for my own team (it does learn Outrage in Gen IV), but that's it for Dragon-ness; Aggron looks more dragon-like. And I like Ala's team as it is, using soley friendship-based Pokemon evolutions... |
