I'm still a bit annoyed that it didn't come to the Wii... if those guys didn't want to make motion controls, fine! Not ever game needs them. There are options like sideways Wiimote (though that might not give enough buttons), Wiimote + Nunchuck, Classic Controller, and GC Controller which could all be used for a game like this. And they could've used Luke or Obi-Wan as the Straw Warts guest. A shame, since I really wanted to try the new Create-A-Soul Mode. |

I don't mean to be that guy who people flame, but the graphics are incredible, the controls are still as flawless as ever, and the sheer amount of stuff you can do is fantastic. Not to mention, the online is fantastic. They created a lobby system exactly as how it was done in arcades back in the day. Loser drops out. Yep. Frankly, I think a Wii version of the game would just be atrocious... |

I don't like what they did to this series. The storyline has only thinned out as the series went on (SC3 was a little above plausible, but still kinda old), but now the story is way too identical for each character, making it ever so boring. And Star Wars characters have broken the heart of the game. At least Heihachi and Link were guest characters that made sense (don't know much about Spawn, so I won't comment..), but Star Wars? Wtf. LOL LET'S PUT YODA IN THE GAME SO THAT ELITE PLAYERS TURN INTO SPAMMERS BECAUSE YOU CAN ONLY HIT HIM WITH A SELECT NUMBER OF MOVES LMAO WE'RE GENIUSES! No. And don't get me started on the veteran characters....They took out so many good combos/combo moves, and either replaced them with crappy moves (See: Sophitia's kicks now), or just didn't replace them at all (See: Kilik's stance combos). All my mains are horrible now (could care less if they boosted other characters, because in the end, it's the same problem from Melee->Brawl). WHY DOES KILIK KEEP LOSING ALL OF HIS GOOD MOVES?! I WANT MY SUPER COMBO FROM SC1! And before anyone asks, no, I don't own a 360. I played it at my cousin's house. |

Nopinion Oted, Drift. I'm of the belief that either a game should be on one console, or on all of them. Putting it on only two doesn't seem fair to the other one. And personally, I'd rather take one with slightly worse graphics and somewhat inferior online than not have one at all (and I am NOT going to buy a PS3 or XBox360) |

Still complaints about Star Wars? Geez. They surprisingly fit in pretty well. And I don't understand all the complaints I keep hearing about Yoda. The little guy's not that hard to take down. And I find it still about the same gameplay-wise concerning combos and all that. Also, the Star Wars characters fit in far better than Heihachi and Spawn... Considering they have swords... As a wise man once said... Live with it. |

Well, since Heihachi is from Tekken, that problaby makes the most sense storyline wise, but yeah, having a fistfighter in a weapons game seems weird. Link, IMO, is still the best Guest character in the Soul series, but I was looking forwards to a Straw Warts character being playable. |

Maybe SC IV would be out for Wii if the Wii hadn't sold out. It seems to me like we're facing another scenario where the market is being flooded by crappy, quickly made games, that target little kids and are solely for making a quick buck. What parent is going to say no to their little girl or boy when they want "Imagine: Rock Star" or "Petz: blah blah blah," especially when they've got a $250 investment that they probably had to hunt for, that's otherwise collecting dust in their basement? Ok ok, the Wii has had some decent games, like SSBB and some earlier releases. But like all games, there have been bugs, and with Nintendo's annoying online process, bugs just make the process that much more difficult. It's a fact that the 360's Xbox live service beats Nintendo's friendcode system by a long shot, so bugs are more acceptable. If you get kicked out of a game, you can get right back into another one, instead of having to reconnect to the network and trying again, sometimes just to get back to the same step. On top of that, a game like SC IV needs as little lag as possible, because that's in the style of the game. Nintendo hasn't worked that out yet, not in the way Microsoft has. The resulting frustration wouldn't be worth a SC IV port to the Wii. Sure, the Wii is innovative, and that makes it attractive, but the innovation has gone in an otherwise undesirable direction. Let's try to keep the right games to the right systems, and in my opinion, Soul Calibur IV belongs with the classic gaming styles of the 360 and the PS3, no matter how heavily diluted any of you are by your fanboyism. The choice is up to you, but to have a true appreciation of video games, you have to look past the thoughts of "Oh, [Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo] sucks, they should just bring all the good games to the [360/PS3/Wii] so I can still play them and remain in my fanboy world." And if money's that big of an issue, you should just be saving up for when good games come out for your system of choice. Or get a job. Maybe it turned into a little bit of a "DON'T BE A FANBOY" rant, at nobody in particular, but if anyone can understand my point, congrats. |

Okay, for the most part, you are right, maybe I'm being too much of a fanboy (but I do like Sony, I own a PS2, but the price tag for PS3 is too much for a system I'd only get a few games for anyways), but it still feels a bit ripped off that they give Nintendo SoulCalibur Legends instead; maybe if they worked a bit better on that game, maybe I wouldn't be so upset. However, there is something I strongly object to, and it's something you mentioned before; the notion that Wii is only a 'casual' gaming system. While it's true that it does have more games for the casual gamer than XBox 360 or PS3, there are plenty of games that are good for the regular gamer, such as Super Paper Mario, Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Mario Kart Wii, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, the upcoming Wario Land: Shake It!, and yes, Brawl. Most of these games incorporate the unique designs of the controllers (except RD) and are still well-made for traditional gaming. The problem is, many third-parties don't see the potential for the system well enough. A game like Okami shows the the Wiimote + Nunchuck setup has the same range of options as a regular controller does. Fortunately, recently some have shown adeptness in using the controller setup to their advantage. Look, I will admit, SCIV probably wasn't right for Wii; the online would've indeed hurt it (and I do openly admit that Nintendo has the inferior online). But please, drop the notion that Nintendo has sold out to the casuals; they're trying to make games for all types of people. I guess in my case it's turned into a 'DON'T RELEGATE THE WII TO A CASUAL-ONLY SYSTEM' rant
