Welcome Guest [Log In] [Register]
We're a small community based on Super Smash Bros. Brawl. We have a ranking system, but it doesn't matter.

That's right, the rankings are like the Wii Remote Jacket: nobody cares.

If you're seeing this, that means you're a guest, which means you either haven't signed up or you haven't signed in. Unfortunately, we've had to disable guest posting, so if you want to contribute to our community, you'll need to have an account. If you make a new account with us, you'll be limited to posting in the Beginners forum. Once you make just one post there, you'll become a full-fledged member, and you can post wherever (and almost whatever) you want.

We look forward to brawling with you!

Heavyweight? Well, jeez, she doesn't look fat or muscular to me.....

Where does she hide those calories?

Ah, unlocked Rosalina, have you?

Well, the thing is, it's not Light, Medium, Heavy in this game; it's Small, Medium, and Large. Note that Waluigi is Large, but was a Middleweight in Double Dash and DS. Same with Diddy Kong, who was Light in Double Dash but Medium here. Rosalina is tall; that's why she's in that class.

BTW, BS... have you been doing Time Trials? They're great ways to learn the courses, and you get a few unlockables simply by doing them.

Ah, so it's based that way...That doesn't change the fact that I don't like how the small karts just suck horribly, or at least they do in comparison to the medium karts...I never use large/heavyweight characters.

I've been doing some Time Trials, but I'll see about finishing them.

And "unlocked" is a funny way of putting it....I just turned on my Wii, and BOOM! "A gift from Super Mario Galaxy!" Whut.

Yeah, once you play enough races and have SMG save data, Rosalina will just be available to you after a short time. She was the third character I unlocked, after Birdo and King Boo. Otherwise, she's one of the harder characters to unlock.

And when you feel up to unlocking Expert Staff Ghosts (recommendable to play through most of the GPs, though you might want to attempt 8 of them at some point so you unlock 2 more characters), check out the pinned topic on Expert Ghost Staff Videos.

I'm stubborn, so I'd rather figure it out myself. =P

Well, I've seen that you attempted some of those times pretty well, so I'd say you're doing a good job whichever way you're doing it.

Oh yeah, I forgot you can see other people's times pretty easily. ;>_> But yeah, Wheelies really help you pull away from those ghosts when you do them at the right time.

I beat my first fast expert ghost. By more than a second.

I actually came very close once to doing that on N64 Sherbet Land. If I didn't hit a penguin at the very end, I would've beaten the regular Staff Ghost with a lower time than the ESG. Of course, for my TTs, I didn't use the optimal character/vehicle combos for them (I do better with wider-turning bikes, like the Shooting Star)
