Well, I managed to fail on a truly epic scale last night. While trying to delete the save game I have on Emerald, and being so used to clicking 'Play DS Game' and not 'Play GBA Game', I managed to delete the save game info on Pearl, because I was just not paying attention. Luckily, this is not the game cart that I have been playing, so I didn't lose EVERYTHING....but I did lose quite a bit, including: 42 Shinies, 16 Legendaries, and a large assortment of generic Pokemon I was fond of. The cart I deleted was my storage bin, pretty much. The shinys were basically all the ones I've gotten, through chaining and trades, and the legendaries were mostly ones from DP, but it did include my X.D. Lugia. Also, my competitive battling team (PoryZ, Metagross, Altaria, Gallade, Probopass, and Dragonite) are gone. I've already started a new game on there, in hopes of getting most of my stuff back, but it's gonna take a bit of time. So...don't anyone expect a battle anytime soon...unless it's on PBR! Cause my team is still on there. So, anyone else have any horror stories like this? Lost a game, erased some data, sent a cart through the washer and broke it? |

Pokemon yellow I had a Mew from a mall my mom drove me and a friend to. We waited for hours for her, got her, participated in battles and alla that awesome stuff. I also did all 151 pokemon challenges on Stadium to get that surfing Pikachu, and had reset my game over 100 times to get the most powerful MewTwo I could. It was all gone... =( Jus randomly deleted. My sapphire had a whole bunch of stuff, even a shiny eletrike. My game like poofed into thin air. It SUCKS when you lose all your stuff! Cuz thats like 100-200+ hours gone! |

I lost my Silver data twice before... probably the version I did the most on, too... I also had a similar one with my Red version, since that eventually became the version I hacked everything on, Missingnos, a Mew, etc. Almost all my Pokemon are gone from that one... I think I have like three left. |

My very first pokemon game- Blue. Lv 90 team of legendaries and my first pokemon ever, Jacobson the Blastoise. Also a Charizard a friend had given to me (Remember, that was way back when there was no breeding, so starters were pretty special). I was having a birthday party and lent the game to a friend who wasn't feeling well. )': The good news is that I was so traumatized that I've been extremely careful since, and I haven't lost any more. Although my Gold is a might glitchy. |

Actually, my brother and I found a way to get all the starters without breeding. We always get opposite Pokemon games and start at the same time (except for D/P since he doesn't have a DS) and when we started, one of us would trade his starter over to the other one for a Rattata or something. Then he'd restart and do it until the one cartridge had two of all but one. Then he'd start with the starter there was only one of, and trade to get the other two. We've done this every time we've restarted, along with transfering over valuable Pokemon we want to keep. Which is why he now has 3 Mewtwos. >_> And my first Pokemon game ever, Pokemon Blue, was stolen from me. At church, of all places. Edited by Yaypenguins, Jul 31 2008, 08:41 PM.

@YP: I didn't have any siblings or friends who I saw often, so that wasn't possible. |

I once deleted my Crystal file without checking what Pokes I had stored in the PC. From what I remember, I lost: - a lvl. 81 Pikachu with a Light Ball; it was my favorite Poke. ;_; - several high level legendaries, including all of the dogs and a Ho-Oh and Lugia that knew their signature moves - a lvl. 100 Blastoise; first Poke I had ever gotten to 100. Fortunately, it was just a copy of the original. - at least one of each Eeveelution - my Ditto; I couldn't mass produce Eevees for a few days - a few other high level Pokes, including Feraligator, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Golem, Gengar, and Hitmonlee Then my Gold's battery died a year or two ago, and that had the original Blastoise on it plus a Charizard, Machamp, Venasaur, Articuno ( At the time it was my favorite legendary. ), Entei ( The only one I had ever caught since I deleted that Crystal file. ), another set of Eeveelutions ( Including a Jolteon that had frequently saved my ass in the Elite 4. ), Alakazam, Typhlosion, and a very awesome Sneasel |
