Well, I'm back from my trip, so I can play Brawl again. I`m trying out four characters; Lucas, King Dedede, Diddy Kong, and Yoshi. Also, a little main practice wouldn`t hurt. I want 3 stock matches, with no items, and neutral stages. I`ll do some main practice first, then the four tryouts. I`d like opinions on those four as well, since I`m not sure who I`m going to keep as secondary mains. |

Well, I did a bit of main practice with Vyse at least... good to know I haven't gotten rusty. And even though a Ness lost in both of those matches, he is still awesome. Anyways, I'm going to be busy for most of the rest of the day, so I'll continue this tomorrow. |

Don't forget to try out Yoshi. We can even have a mirror match so I can show you some of his more advance techniques. |

It's okay, just remember next time. I have to go now; sometime later, I'll show you Dedede, Diddy, and Yoshi, and you can make an assessment. |

I'm ready for the next little while. I'd like one more shot with Lucas (since I don't really count that first one), and two times with the other three. |

Didn't get a chance to do this earlier cuz I went to sleep after the meeting was over. =P Lucas: I don't know what to say about that USmash.....It seems like too many people rely on it for a kill when his FSmash is just as crazy for knockback. Other than that, I'd just work on learning how to use Lucas' aerials, because they're actually alright. Dedede: I'm thinking he's not a good match for you. As far as I know, none of your mains are really that slow, and he's got a lot of odd moves to work with. If you're still planning on using him, just watch out for when you want to use that dash attack and watch his range/timing with his smashes. Diddy: Hmm....I would say you have him down the best so far, but his FAir and BAir moves are good for kills. Oh, and I should probably play a couple more Yoshi matches before I say anything about that. Edited by Berserker Swordsman, Jul 25 2008, 07:40 AM.

Yeah, I think Triple D is good for CPUs, but I do better with everyone else for human opponents. Funny thing is, when I played Classic on Hard with all four, I got the highest score with Dedede, where I managed to defeat both hands. Yoshi got the lowest, but that's because he had to deal with Giant Wario and his Up Aerial of doom, and went into the Master + Crazy Hand fight with one stock, so I had to continue. I think the thing is with Dedede is that you can hit CPUs with his slower moves easier. |

Well, thanks for the offer, dabuz, but I'm not going to use Dedede. He's too slow for my taste. If I want a powerhouse, I'll use Ike, who has consistent range, or Charz, who actually attacks quickly. BS, I'd like to do some more practice with Diddy, Lucas (or should I say Claus?), and Yoshi today. Also, I know you're practicing Peach, but if it's okay, I'd like to also try out against some other characters as well. |

Keep....running....into...Yoshi smashes.....Keep...missing....Mario's attacks....GAH! X_X I totally just went into Overlimit with Ike. I was like "I'm playing kinda off today..." then WHAM! Overlimit. Anyway, good games. I think with Lucas' USmash, you should try sliding it, rather than waiting for the opponent to come to you. Unless you're fighting a Jigglypuff or a Yoshi, your opponent doesn't have that much wiggle room for faking an approach in the air, so a sliding USmash should be able to take advantage of that. And Lucas' NAir seems to be good at air-to-ground approaches, as far as quick recovery->A combos go. Diddy's barrel jetpack thing seems to be what's killing you =P Yoshi.....Well, you've certainly got him down in terms of offense...As I've noted several times against Polt, that floaty nature is ridiculous to try and counter (although Kirby and Wolf seem to be incredible in terms of destroying it). You could probably fit in a few attacks as you're recovering from the edge since Yoshi has that aerial resistance in his second jump, especially if someone uses a one-hit attack. Overall, I can say you've gotten a lot better in the long while I've been fighting you. *thumbs up* |

Hah, thanks for that. I could say how good you are, but you already know Okay, I'm definitely making Yoshi a secondary main; of the remaining three, I can play him the best. The other two, I'm not sure... I can't use Diddy in proper matches unless I get better at that Rocketbarrel. Ness can get away with having recovery problems since I'm good at using him in every other aspect, but Diddy isn't Ness. I'd like to use him, but I'm not sure... Lucas is unclear. I think I still prefer Ness, but I'd like to use him as a sub. The only thing I like better about Lucas is that he has better recovery than Ness does. ... by the way, how do you do a sliding USmash? I've seen Ally do it before, but I don't know how to do it myself. |

Dash, then do an USmash while you're still running. It's easiest to do with a C-Stick, but you can do it by just pressing Up+A (Or 2 with just the Wiimote) while running, too. The momentum of your run carries you over. |

I don't think that is what he was talking about, Berserker Swordsman. I think he wants to know how to do something like a Snakedash, but with other characters. Well, it's really simple, but hard to do. First, you must do a dash attack, but then you must immediately do an up-smash. I don't know if it works with every character, but I do know that Snake, Zero Suit Samus, and Wario can do it. Anyways, I glad that you finally got to see how good Yoshi is! =D |

Well, I haven't played Brawl in a while, since I've been busy being the sole house resident, work on Miis, and taking up MKW once again. But I have a dentist appointment tomorrow, so after that, I won't be able to do much work, hence I might do some more Brawling during that time. Anyways, the two characters I decided on are Yoshi, and... Mr. Game & Watch. After playing him in the Mirror matches with KFox, I remembered how awesome he is. So, depending on how I feel tomorrow, I might want some practice tomorrow, otherwise, the next few days after that. |

Anyways, since my lower jaw was semi-frozen after that, I wasn't up to playing for most of the day... but I did play some Team Battles on With Anyone Mode for a bit. I did pretty good; my team won all but once, and the time I lost was due to Sudden Death... the enemy Pit kept on running out of Ivy's dash attack, and then both me and my partner, also Pit, were Bob-omb'd. I think I did the right choice with the two; Mr. Game & Watch dominated the match I used him in; he's freaking awesome. And on 75m, the Snakepit was no match for Yoshidorf! So yeah, I'd like to battle a bit for the next few days, since I'll be good enough to do that, but not much else. |
