Well, actually, I don't think the old one didn't animate like this new one did, but I distinctly remember you having a Magus avatar.
Double negatives FTW.

Well, I've done most of what this game has to offer. I got the main ending, the new ending, and the Dream Team ending. New Game + still rocks. Gotta say, though, that I don't remember beating Lavos so early being so... easy. Maybe I'm just smarter than I was five years ago, or maybe some of the new equipment is just really broken... Probably a mixture of both. But yeah. This game is still just as great as it was. I'll never touch the Lost Sanctum again, though.... Ever. Dimensional Vortex was a bit better.

Edit: Also, now that Crono's Tech, once "Confuse," now bears the much clearer name "Frenzy," I'm actually using it... And it kicks ass. I seriously never used it on any previous playthrough. Now it's the main tech I spam with him.

Of all the artwork they could've chosen for the CT DS boxart, they just had to choose that one... granted, it IS the same one as the SNES version, but still, could they choose a little less.. misleading one?
Agree. Why is marle using fire?

It was one of my favorites back them.I discoverd it's power by mistake (i mean when it's name was confuse) but i endend loving it.

Does anyone knows if there is somthing useful in that monster arena? becouse i don't think i'll enter again.

On your first playthrough, the arena can get you good things, like Golden Studs and powerful weapons, earlier than you can get them in the main game. On a New Game +, it's pretty much worthless.

AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRONO TRIGGER FAN. THAT WAS OBVIOUSLY HIS BEST MOVE UNTIL LUMINARE. BEST. MOVE.

It's like Purple Lightning, except infinitely cooler. And if you don't know what Purple Lightning is, stop playing Chrono Trigger and go play Grandia II (not the PS2 port, DEAR GOD NO).

Yes, it is his best move besides Luminaire... But it wasn't at all obvious in the original. >_>

The reason for that is because they are using the Triple Tech Arc Impulse (I believe it's named something else in the new translation). Marle does use flames in it. That's why I said 'misleading', not 'incorrect'...

Although, at the same time, the box art is still incorrect, as they appear to be fighting Heckran, whom is fought in a cave, and you don't have Frog at that point (another mistake like this in made in the opening cutscene, where Frog is seen in the party against Zombor)

Well, that's really not a surprise, seeing as they have the same artist and all.

Could be a Snow Beast from the Dimensional Vortex.

K disregard what I said earlier this game is super hot. Easily one of my favorite rpgs, and no doubt my favorite game on the DS.(Got the DS ver for christmas, well, technically bought it on boxing day).

I just beat it yesterday, getting the main ending, and defeating Lavos via Crashing the Epoch into him.(After reviving you know who at death peak.) Did most of the sidequests...(actually, all of them besides Black Omen, I only did like half of it before escaping with some nice equips and skipped son of sun entirely.)

I owned Lavos pretty badly. (Haste Helm+already fast Crono+Luminare Spam w/ Golden Stud while Magus spams Dark Matter and Robo heals=win.) Good, good game. I also picked up the PSX version for 9.99 at a game store near my house because I really love the game.

I uh...started Chrono Cross(managed to find it factory sealed) and its pretty fun so far. I had heard it didn't feel like a sequel to Trigger...and besides some tracks I recgonized remixed, it really doesn't, but its a good game too. Great soundtrack.

The PSX version has some really nasty load times.

And yeah, it's amazing. Glad you gave it a chance. :D

Good thing you gave CT a try; after all, it WAS made by the Dream Team (A mix of Square and Enix's finest, before they were one company)

It's a shame you didn't do the Sun Stone sidequest (Black Hole and Fire absorb/resist equipment is key), since it's required for Lucca and Crono's best weapons (at least, outside of the new optional dungeon), but it seems that you did alright without them :P

By the way... who are everyone's favourite characters? Aside from obviously Crono himself, I've always been fond of Frog, Lucca, and Ayla.

The Dreamseeker is laughably broken. I don't even use magic on Crono anymore, unless the enemy resists physical attacks or is weak to Light.

Now that the game's script is a bit cleaner and uncensored, I like Ayla a lot more than I did (in fact, she was an irreplaceable party member for me this time, whereas I never used her in previous playthroughs).
