I look at all the characters in Brawl and none of them has been as mistreated as the Pikmin. First off, they are small little humanoids with very tiny arms and legs. (I can barely believe they can walk with those) Secondly, they can act as weapons if used correctly. But to use em correctly you actually have to THROW THEM! Yea you can make a weapon out of anything if you throw it! Why do the Pikmin need to actually be thrown? WHy should they be used at all? These things could actually die in the process and its not like they havent done anything wrong! We might as well replace Pikmin and just start throwing babies at their opponents. You get an extra point if the baby's big fat head makes a direct hit! What I am saying is this. We need to stop this tyranny over Pikmin. We need to stop letting these Pikmin be treated as second class citizens. These weird, small, colorful, flowerheaded things should be free! Rights for the Pikmin now!

olimar can do whatever he wants with them, he brought them from being the bottom of the food chain to the top, louie never had any rights to treat them like that though, edit: that picture is fake, olimar must be on day two before going to the forest of hope, you picture liar! Wow. This is a perfect example of the pro-slavery propaganda that you see all over the internet. I bet you the U.S government is behind this because of their not so slave-free past. People, this is just another attempt to try to downplay the slavery and plight of the Pikmin. Pikmin are like any other animals who try to survive. Why would they risk their lives for a person who is small and unpleasant to look at? Would you do the same? I dont think so!  We must continue the rallying for Pikmin freedom! |

The thing is the Pikmin never needed to learn how to fight! They were happy the way they were. Now they are slaves to all this inhumane fighting without and will of their own. We need to break the bondages in order to stop all of their innocent deaths! |

so your saying its alright for 20+ pikmin dieing every 20 seconds constantly but naturally is better than 20 dieing in like 8 minutes? especially for when its person who saved the pikmin from pretty close to what would of been extinction by now, but instead a good size population because of him? |

As long as the deaths are "natural" then I do not see it as a moral issue as opposed to an issue of surviving nature. However, all the deaths in brawl are man made. Therefore, it is a moral issue and should not be tolerated. |

But...things tend to naturally die when they get hit really hard by fists, or swords, or other various things. In fact, if the pikmin weren't to die by such means, it would be considered unnatural. Therefore, while the entire brawl roster is unnatural, the pikmin are the only things that are natural, by the dying as a consequence of actions that people / things would normally die from. Lets look at it in another light. If you have a gun, and your worst enemy has a dog, and that enemy makes the dog attack you, are you going to shoot the dog, or not shoot it, because the owner is using it to attack you? Same holds true for Olimar in brawl. The pikmin are thrown at you for the sole purpose of attacking you. Of course they already knew how to fight, as they live in a hostile environment, but Olimar was the driving force that caused them to organize and become a deadly army. On top of that, it's been proven that pikmin have some level of intelligence. They know to come together to lift heavy objects, or take down an enemy that one pikmin would have no chance against. Some may die, yes, but they are able to cut their losses and continue on. Not only that, but their semi-intelligence would likely tell them when something is a threat. Olimar was never perceived as a threat, or else that first pikmin would have been all over him. Instead, the pikmin cooperate with him, and create a partnership of sorts, not slavery. *gasps* FURTHERMORE, pikmin are organic lifeforms. They are created by flowers (which mysteriously have numbers on them) and the dead bodies of their enemies. They even have leaves, buds, and flowers, which, unless this is completely natural, means they are partly plants. Maybe the pikmin who die are like dead branches, which must be cut off to ensure the survival of the plant as a whole. AND LASTLY, who doesn't have a sadistic side, where you purposely lead 100 reds and yellows into a puddle, just to see them all die? Xenocide at it's finest. If there's better xenocide out there, I want to know. tl;dr They're supposed to die. Like a burlap bag full of kittens thrown in a river. |

You believe that xenocide, genocide, or anything with a "cide" at the end of the word can just be thrown around and even be INITIATED. Well I can tell you sir that is absolutely inappropriate. We should not treat the pikmin like those kittens that you just described because kittens are cute. Second, pikmin although being created sometimes from their enemies are living and thinking beings. They are not like any ordinary plants that you and I see everyday. Therefore the same rules do not apply! The slavey of the Pikmin must end! |
