Want. After spending countless hours on Tales of Symphonia (literally, I maxed out the game clock on several occasions) I can't wait to see what new developments come to the series in it's introduction to the current gen consoles. Very excited, especially because the release is one day after my birthday. As was the case with Metroid Prime 3, hello preorder with one day shipping.

It's not a sequel to ToS. >_> Most of the Tales games, like the FF games, are entirely unrelated to each other. The sequel to ToS is... ToS2, and it's on Wii. |

Yeah. The only linked tales games are Phantasia and its various sequels that no one cares about for the GBC, Symphonia and Symphonia Knights Of Ratatosk(which thinly lead back to Phantasia). And Tales of Destiny has a direct sequel, Tales of Destiny 2, that was only released in Japan. |

For those who've seen the characters, who do you think you'll play as? I always play as...well, all of them. But if I get my friends to play, I'll end up being whoever they don't want to play as. I know that both of them would fight over Yuri, prolly, but one of them would totally be all over Guy-I mean, Flynn, if he's playable. My lil sis just wants to be Repede XD I think...I'd want to play as Judith mostly, actually. ^^ lances ftw! |

Yuri, hands down. That Dragon Blade and his techs in general look awesome, and he's got the name of one of my favorite RPG badasses (From Shadow Hearts, if you don't know). |

Yeah, I keep seeing the name Yuri everywhere...I haven't played that game, but then there are other characters, like my friend's character named Yuri, and Yuri Lowenthal XD Yuri's fighting style looks amazing, the way he lets go of his sword when he combos and all that... |

This game is freakin' amazing. Yuri is the most bad ass main character ever, and he has a dog (Repede) that has a pipe in it's mouth. What's not to love? Estelle is kinda cool, however some of the things she says is kinda weird even though she is supposed to be somewhat smart. <_< I mean really, Yuri: Yeah, I beat you into next week! Estelle: Next week?...But can you really...? Yuri: Never mind. Yuri: It's gonna take 100 years before you can beat me! Estelle: Cause you've lived a lot longer, right? Yuri:...Not exactly... And as a healer, she's kind of annoying sometimes. EX: Yuri is at almost full health, Repede's about to die. Estelle: First Aid! *heals Yuri* Me: *facepalm* Guy-who-secretly-changed-his-name-to-Flynn-and-is-still-kickass is only a temp. for a short while, which really sucks. Karol is minilloyd. Rita is only slightly behind Jade in the most awesome mage ever, but you can't blame her for that. Jade is win. lex already explained for Judith. Raven's cool. And AD skills are back, only you have to learn it from a weapon. And then if you switch weapons you have to equip the skill with skill points (SP). This is one thing I don't like as much as Tales of the Abyss, where you could have every skill on at once or turn off some when you wanted (for challenge). Hopefully you can reach the point in which you have enough SP to equip them all. Even then though, it's still fun because it adds some challenge. |

Sheltered noblewoman. =P Of course Yuri's rough speech would confuse her. I'm not liking Estelle too much...Although, I'm probably the farthest of anyone here, so I won't say anything. Also, Dragon Swarm. Best. Arte. Ever. YOU CAN CANCEL IT. WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED?! lol goodpoint, she is a sheltered noblewoman. That must be why. BTW how is she as your healer? Cause I've heard from others that she sort of does the same thing that mine does. And you probably are the farthest, or at least for me. So thanks for not saying anything, as being spoiled sucks. |

I don't use Estelle or Rita for boss battles, so I never have much problems with her healing. Every time I try to use one of them, I die horrible, horrible, horrible deaths. ;>_> I lost to a boss in less than a minute with them in the party....Then I switched them out and beat the same boss in just over a minute. And I prefer Karol for healing over Estelle. >_> Since Nice Aid Smash is a base arte, he can follow it up with something like Reaper Knock to still hit a faraway enemy. =D Karol rox. |

I should try that, because I need someone to heal me when I need it, and Estelle just isn't doing it for me. I'll try Karol and hope he works better. This isn't to say that I don't like Estelle, she's pretty good too, but you know what I mean. =D And I didn't like Karol in the beginning, but he's sort of growing on me. I'm just waiting for Rita to get better, abd she isn't that bad right now. Boss battles aren't that hard, but doing some of the secret missions are a pain in the ass, especially when doing them in hard mode as a first playthrough. One example comes to mind is when you fight Gattuso. It took forever trying to do it's secret mission that I had nightmares. >_<; Oh and Dragon Swarm is the best. arte. ever. |

It might be because my armor sucks....I dunno, I keep thinking I shouldn't be taking this much damage, but all of a sudden, I'm dead. @.@ Almost every boss has a guard-breaking move, so defense is next to useless. =( |

Although I grind like crazy when I start to suck, and make sure to buy all items I can, like gels and life bottles, because without them I literall have no chance of winning. I synthesize a lot too. And I was sort of exaggerating when I said boss battles aren't that hard, cause they actually kinda are. You just need to be prepared for it. And I know exactly what you mean, I start to think, ok everythings going good, I've got it's health down to half and everyone looks ok, then it does like one combo or one Area move and I start to scream, "WTFBBQ! HAX!" and before I know it, I lose. =( |

Pretty sure im the farthest here. Im in the final third of the game. God, Raven is so awesome. >_> And Yuri is the best hero in the series. My party is Yuri/Estelle/Judith/Raven. Though, I think this is the first game that makes you fight the
