Well...I don't know if you've ever experienced this...

But it all started about 5 minutes ago when I heard something loud knocking on the roof and looked through the window to see some massive hail come down. I've never seen hail the size of golfballs before. The street was covered in white and it was coming down so hard my dad thought the windows might break. Yet...the cloud is only above us so the sunset is shining through...and then...a rainbow appeared...and then...lightning...and then...another rainbow...and it hailed until just now, there was thunder and now it is gone. <_< >_> i dunno, that's my amusement for the day.

So how's the weather where you live? It snowed from November to mid-April, we had a week of 90 degree weather in May, and then April showers in May, followed by 80 degree weather, until the temperature steadily declined, so it's June with 60 degree weather >___>; Everyone around here's sick of it. XD

We just had the hottest consecutive three days, starting Sunday. We even got out of school early Monday and Tuesday, cuz the temperatures were in the high 90s ;>_> Luckily, it rained Tuesday night, so yesterday was actually pretty good.

While I'll admit that it takes more than that kind of temp to get out school for heat in the South, the North doesn't let off of school for a week because of 3 inches of snow. You Rebels need to man up about it and buy some snow plows.

INB4thesouthdoesn'tdothat. I'll take no arguments about it. I've seen it 4 times since I've lived in Virginia, and I've seen it in the nearby States even more. Ridiculous out times for minuscule amounts of snow.

Oh, to be on topic, it's hot here. Severe Thunderstorms too, but those I don't mind.

"If you don't like the weather in Colorado, wait five minutes."

Although it did snow yesterday a bit higher up. We.... usually don't see snow... in mid-June... o-O

I've never been let out of school for heat, but then we don't have humidity. And it takes literally about three or four feet of snow to get even a delay.

How about, "The South doesn't see snow?"

The last time it snowed in New Orleans was Christmas Day, 2004 -- three and a half years ago. In Alabama, it's been even longer.

So no, I won't say "The South doesn't do that."

I'll say "The South can't do that."

I have a friend who lives in Alabama who was talking about a snowstorm just last winter.

Maybe he lives in the far northern regions, because it hasn't snowed down by the Gulf in years.

And if it's a snowstorm, then it's not exactly a paltry three inches.

I remember seeing a bunch of snow when I lived back in Temple, but now that I'm farther south, the last time I saw snow was Christmas Day, 2004. >< I think that was the first time our city saw snow in over 15 years.

As to the current weather, two days ago we had a really bad thunderstorm (including the power outages), but now it's hot. At least it gets cold at night, though. ^_^; Oh, and I believe on the 6th, we had ourself a genuine April Shower/Fox's Wedding (whatever you wish to call it). Raining with a clear sky. -nods- It felt so nice.

Yeah, it snowed for you guys the same day it snowed for us in New Orleans. You guys got more, IIRC. I remember seeing it on the news.

Your schools close for high temperatures and small amounts of snow? Bah. Lucky Americans. We Canadians have to be tough. School up here doesn't close for anything. We had a foot of snow and there was an inch of ice covering all the roads one day, and school was still open. As for the heat....well....it doesn't really get all that hot where I live. Kinda hot in summer, but that's it. My province is probably the coldest in Canada. Me likey cold. ^_^

Yeah our school never let out for anything. even a broken water main, never got out. Spent a week drinking out of sports pitchers and not flushing toilets.

Which was disgusting..anyway

In Ohio we get a lot of weird weather here. Sometimes lots of snow, sometimes not. A couple years ago we had such a bad ice storm and snow storm..wow. power was out for a week or two. Ice over everything. Big trees were pulled down by the weight, things flooded then froze, etc.

but it gets hot and humid here, and it just suuucccckkksss..... right now we're supposed to get severe thunderstorms so I'm waitin for them. Weirdest weather moments for me was

Raining, lightning, thundering, huge storm with a pure orange sky and surroundings and not a cloud in sight.

And a huge wall of clouds (a line of them) moved across the sky at super speed. in 5 minutes they were gone. Not a cloud in the sky after that

but the hail. totally odd. Hail is like..severe weather warning. Like tornado-y stuff

I live in Ohio. Our schools don't close unless it's the Second Coming of Christ in street-ice form, or meteors are raining upon our paltry towns.

Fuck you all, I am Ohio.

Lately we've been getting triple-digit weather in CA, peaking at around 114 degrees a few days ago.

Why is it so hot, and why am I so stubborn about not wearing shorts?

I went to Seaside last week... I think, because I had the idea of "beach" in my head, I naturally assumed the weather would be nice. For some odd reason, I forgot I was gonna be in Oregon. And in my hasty packing, I only had shorts and skirts and such and one pair of jeans, which don't stay up without a belt, and I forgot my belt. LOL. There was sun about three out of the seven days I was there DX and even then it was super windy which made it impossible for me to not wear a sweater...cuz I'm a skinny creature D:
