Who is really excited for this movie?! I have been looking forward to this since after watching the first one. Man this is gona be so epic! This movie is gona hav the guy who directed momento, the guy who acted the voice of Thomas in Pocohantas, a guy who accidentally killed himself w/ too many pills, and a man who many considered his role as God in Bruce Almighty was totally appropriate. This movie is gona be...fabulous!

Looks like it'll be a pretty good movie, but I'm pretty much only going to see it so I can see if it'll actually be better than Iron Man. |

Well, I just came back from seeing this movie... probably one of the darkest superhero movies ever (well, if you consider Bats to be a superhero), and surprisingly long... just when you think it's over, it's not. Still very good; I think Aaron Eckhart in particular did a great job. |

Aaron Eckhart? This movie is all about Heath Ledger! His performance was the best comic book character role I've ever seen. |

Well, of course I think Heath Ledger did a good job. He's probably second to Ecky is my books, though. I've also always liked Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon (The old Batman movies didn't do the character justice). Admittedly, I do miss Robin, but Robin probably wouldn't work in this movie, and Robin in general only works if done really well. |

In my opinion, Eckhart is overacted his role as Harvey Dent. There were moments in the movie where he would be having a pretty serious conversation, but to me it was just an actor acting out lines. Heath Ledger throughout the entire movie was the Joker. |

Harvey Dent is the sexiest Batman character ever... >_> My mom that I was serious and was all "He's too old for you." Jeez, all my friends are in love with Johnny Depp >__>; isn't he older? But anyway, I speak for the group who went to see it with my when I say it was amazing. "Wanna see a magic trick?" I love the Joker, too. ^^ |

This, though Eckhart was pretty good as Two Face. You know, the whole 20 minutes that Two Face was in the movie. Edited by Sock, Jul 21 2008, 09:13 PM.

Gotta agree with you there. He was an excellent Two Face but a pretty overacted Harvey Dent... |

Hey, I can like Ecky if I want to. And Bale, Caine, Oldman, and Freeman needs some love too. It's not ALL about Heath, despite what you claim.

God damnit, people, Heath Ledger is the only guy that mattered in this movie. I have two reasons. First, he played a very well done Joker. I have no exaggerations when I say he did the best role I've ever seen in a movie (I can remember). Anyone who's seen it should need no further justification on this matter. Second, Heath + er (last two letters of "Ledger") = Heather, and Heather is the best person ever. I rest my case. |

Okay, let's put aside the Heath praise for a moment... ... well, there's obviously going to be another movie for many reasons. I thought that Two-Face would've been the main villain in that movie, but it looks like they've already used him... so, who should the Batvillain be? |

As for who I'd like to see... I know fairly little about Batman villains. Until I saw Batman Begins, I didn't even like Batman. Still, I've gotta say... Clayface and Killer Moth, with a final return by Scarecrow. |

Epic movie was epic. Like... really epic. And amazing. Wow, applause, all that jazz. I'm.... starting to accept the guy who's playing Batman. I didn't like him as Bruce Wayne at first and I still think his batman 'voice' is absurd. Obv, Heath was amazing. But needed more laughter. What there was, was good, but needs moar. I didn't mind Harvey Dent's actor too much. I think the "overacting" as Harvey made the switch to Two Face more believable. "Drama queen" fits the character. I also felt that the movie was more true to the original flavor of batman that I remember. Most of my knowledge and experience comes from the various incarnations on TV shows, and many of them are more vanilla, especially recently. This was just a plain good story and a very wild ride. So yeah. Win. Edited by KFox, Aug 4 2008, 11:38 PM.

Well, okay, Heath was, from an acting perspective, the best actor in the movie, most definitely. The reason I prefer Two-Face has nothing to do with that. It's just that, I don't really care that much for the sick b@$tard incarnation of the Joker. To me, the Joker is a guy who makes random funny comments and uses lethal weapons that look like they come from a joke shop. Admittedly, the version of the Joker in the movie works better for it, but for that reason, Heath can neither be my favourite comic book movie villain (I'm not exactly sure who it is), nor my favourite incarnation of the Joker (that goes to the Animated Series version, voiced by none other than Mark Hamill) Plus, I'm a fan of Harley Quinn, so it's not really a fair fight. Just know that it has nothing to do with Heath's performance. Anyways, there are rumors that Two-Face is, in fact, not dead (it wasn't really that long a fall, and just because Gordon announces that Harvey is dead at a conference doesn't mean that he actually was, so it's possible), so he may in fact be returning for the third film. And I could see Scarecrow making another minor appearance, like he did in this film. Otherwise, I think they want to stay with the more realistic villains, which include Catwoman (possible, but I don't want it to be her), the Penguin, the Ridder (probably my favourite choice), the Ventriloquist (very unlikely, even though he's one of my favourites), Hugo Strange (But the psychiatrist angle has already been done with Scarecrow), Black Mask... quite a few possiblities, but is also disqualifies a lot of other villains (which might not be a bad thing anyways) |

I saw this about a week ago, and I have to say, it was a very good movie. A bit dark for my tastes though. And if they do make another, I'd like to see the Riddler in it. He's easily my favourite Batman villian (not that I know all that many). Oh yeah, and as soon as I saw Harvey's coin (first time he flipped it, not the first time they showed the other side) I knew he'd turn into Two-Face. Was it the same for you guys? Since I knew Harvey Dent was Two-Face in the comics, I knew he'd have to turn into Two-Face at some point in the movie. |

I got it from the coin, too. As I said, I don't really know much about Batman. My post about Clayface and Killer Moth with a Scarecrow appearance was a joke. Think about it. Clayface (malleable body of inanimate matter), Killer Moth (an anti-Batman), and Scarecrow (a villain who's shown up in the first two movies). Well...? I read somewhere that they're trying to use villains who haven't been in the movies before (and apparently failing with Two-Face and the Joker in one movie), so Clayface and Killer Moth really are both realistic. I don't think either one has shown up in any movie yet. Even so, from what I've read the Riddler is the most probable villain for the third movie. |
