Sonic stategys

We're a small community based on Super Smash Bros. Brawl. We have a ranking system, but it doesn't matter.

That's right, the rankings are like the Wii Remote Jacket: nobody cares.

If you're seeing this, that means you're a guest, which means you either haven't signed up or you haven't signed in. Unfortunately, we've had to disable guest posting, so if you want to contribute to our community, you'll need to have an account. If you make a new account with us, you'll be limited to posting in the Beginners forum. Once you make just one post there, you'll become a full-fledged member, and you can post wherever (and almost whatever) you want.

Advanced Member Posts: 478 Group: Brawler Member #79 Joined: May 5, 2008	The trick with sonic is to maintain distance and figure out your enemies moves before attacking. Spin is a good way to piss someone off (lol KFox!) and his homing is good for aerials. Unfortunately he doesn't really have a good smash move or spike move. The key is to get someone into a great percentage and then c-stick your desired move. However that takes time and patience and mastery of avoidance! As long as you can learn to dodge most anything someone throws atcha, he's a pretty good character to use.

I've found that with Sonic, the key is to never let your opponent get his bearings. Sonic is fast enough that you can unleash a barrage of attacks that, despite the lack of true combos, won't allow anyone without godly reaction times to escape. Note that I am not telling you to button mash. I'm telling you to disorient your opponent and keep him disoriented. Make use of the fact that >B, vB, dsmash, and your dash attack all look so similar. Make use of the insane distance Sonic can slide when you do his usmash while running. Make use of the ability to shorten the startup time (both by using and not using it) for Homing Attack.
