Kuro-chan

 

Name: Imbri Mae
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Race: Human
Personality: Despite his age, he is very childish and immature. However, when it comes to any life or death situation, Imbri can be a bit headstrong and overconfident, and therefore reckless. He desperately wants to be an 'other', but will most likely never get to be one.
Appearance: Imbri has light brown eyes, almost golden, along with straight, dirty blonde hair that falls only an inch below his ears. He has a girlish face, and can easily be mistaken for a woman.
History: Imbri has been on his own ever since he was 7 since his parents got caught in one of the last bombings of NYC. He mainly stays in the subways since it's the only place safe from radiation, and only ventures out into the open when he can't find food or water anywhere in the subways. Imbri knows every nook and cranny of every underground place of NYC inside and out, but can easily get lost on the surface.
He lacks good fighting skills (he's somewhat decent), but is an excellent hunter, especially in the dark. However, when faced with an 'other' with an irrational hate of humans, Imbri stands no chance except for to try and talk the 'other' out of killing him by negotiating and offering services in return.

Name: Lucifer
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Race: Human
Personality: He often stays calm and level-headed, even in the heat of battle. He will always find a way to get through any situation. If he can't find one, he'll make one himself. The problem is, he doesn't know when to give up.
Appearance: He's about 6 feet, 1 inches tall with cropped brown hair. He has one blue eye, one brown eye and has a scar on his left bicep, and one really nasty one on his right shoulder. He often looks militaristic and could be mistaken for one of the army.
History: Lucifer found a young 'other' roaming the streets and took her in. He took care of Kisla until she decided it was time to leave. Now he, along with his trusty dog, Tai, he camps out in what used to be a mall. The only weapons he has with him is a switchknife and a hatchet, which he mainly uses for survival.

Name: Kisla Jari
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Race: 'Other'
Personality: She has a very withdrawn personality. She will not talk if it can be helped, but even if she does, she only says a sentence or two in a small, emotionless voice. Despite this, she is very friendly and doesn't differentiate between humans and 'others'.
Appearance:  Kisla has short, shaggy blonde hair with deep gray eyes as well as a blonde fluffy tail (most likely a cat's). She is scantily dressed, only enough to cover what needs to be covered and nothing more. Her hands are calloused and she even has an open wound or two on her legs. She's on the beginnings of becoming anorexic due to the scarcity of food and water.
History: She was born from a human family, yet she herself didn't turn out as a human. Her tail was the only proof they needed. Because she was one of them, she was outcasted as a baby. A human boy came across her and raised her as his own.
Despite her weak appearance, she does have cat-like abilities and a few magical abilities such as creating a temporary shield, and throwing explosive balls of energy. Even so, she can only do one of these things at a time and tires easily.

Name: IR (Like Infrared, get it? It's pronounced I-R.)

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Race: Other

Personality: A vagabond who works alone. Knows when to do what's right and when to lay off. Applies a light sense of humor to a serious situation to lessen tension, but always gets the job done.

Appearance: Has a pair of red-tinted sunglasses. Wears a white t-shirt that reads "Inultus Refero" in a smallish print. He wears dark gray cargo pants and boots. He has a large strap going across the front of his body holding a large sword on his back. He wears biker gloves. He's about average height for a human and is completely human in appearance.

History: IR was born with the name Ignatius Rollins unto a human household. He lived the average life of a boy growing up in the city with the exception of one thing. His trips to the doctor. The doctor would note strange occurrences happening inside Ignatius's body. His parents took no bother about it and continued raising him as any parent would their own child.

Ignatius wasn't the most cooperative person. He viewed schools as an oppressive establishment and ended up not going to college. He stayed with his parents for a few years.

One day, his parents were away, and he got a phone call. It was an emergency. His parents had been murdered.

He went as fast as he could to the crime scene, and found them dead on the floor. Almost immediately, he felt a surging power coursing through him, and he somehow knew where the killer was. He made chase and eventually caught up.

Upon finding the killer, Ignatius removed the sunglasses that he almost always wore. He proceeded to stare down the killer. Tiny, thin, red beams went from his eyes and shone upon the killer. The killer was confused, and didn't know what was going to happen to him. Suddenly, he felt hot, and Ignatius noted that. He intensified his stare. The killer burst into flames. Ignatius turned his back and fled the scene.

Ever since then, Ignatius has traveled the world as an avenger of defenseless humans. He calls himself IR. He provides the innocent with defense and protects the world upon which he was born. He is wanted by every possible establishment of government, but stays well concealed. Today, he lives among every one of us as a human. No one can trace him. No one knows where he is. No one knows who he is.

He purchased a sword from a pawn shop recently, and it took only a short time to master sword fighting. He is a master swordsman now, with unbeatable technique. He has never used it in combat, though. He awaits the day that he will have to, and with the recent situation arising, that time may be soon...

Weakness: After using his infrared eyes, IR takes about half an hour to recharge. During this time, his super sense is depleted, as well as his strength. He gets out of focus, persay. For instance, he'll have disrupted vision and can't focus on his target as clearly as usual.

Name: Fault Zone (People call her Z, FZ, Fault)
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown
Race: Human?
Personality: Likes to be funny, during uncomfortable times. Pretty hard core and serious during other times. Likes to get things done and will not stop if anyone is in her way. She holds grudges and barely ever takes mercy. Believes in 'the strongest will survive'.

History: You can read all of her abilities and history and stuff on her character sheet but for this:

She's been around since the start of the decay. As the radiation penetrated her body and began to kill her cells, changing them, something in the biological make-up changed as well. When more cells were bad than good, her body switched its strategy, it evolved in a single generation! She thrives on radiation, giving her semi intense sensory abilities. This has also been honed due to her semi-paranoid outlook and due to watching for enemies. She can usually pick up on when there's something big and bad going to happen, and she knows when strange people are around her. She's slightly faster than average (due to training) and hardly ever falls unaware.

However her constant reflexes and awareness leaves her tired and unfocused if she's awake for long periods of time. It takes a lot of energy to maintain awareness.

Chao

 

Name: Chaos
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Race: Other (tiger/human mutation, more tiger than human)
Personality: Chaos is usually negative, and dislikes humans, but will still help them when they are in trouble.
Appearance: Chaos simply looks like a tiger that stands on two legs. His upper body is built more like a humans, but if he stands on all fours, he could still easily be mistaken for a normal tiger.
History: Chaos was once a scientist, and tried to warn everyone what would happen if the bombings continued, but most just ignored him. His change came while he was in his lab. A nuclear blast tore apart half of his lab, instantly knocking him unconsious. However, when he woke up, he felt just fine... except that he was no longer human.

He has superhuman strength, speed, and senses, but tires out after using his strength or running for too long. He actually likes his new form, and uses his knowledge and his new strength to help others, but he is bitter towards most humans, which usually comes out through sarcasm.
