Well, I did it! I just got at least a Star Ranking in every cup! Now, the final two, Mirror Lightning and Special, were quite interesting, to say the least... Miian, the overalls-clad Mii in his Shooting Star Bike, took on the system. Mario Circuit 3 was fairly routine; items flying everywhere, Mushroom hurting sharp turns, all that jazz. Miian came in first. In Peach Gardens, Miian is leading at the end of the second lap... then, ALL AT ONCE, Blue Shell, Lightning, Blooper. He loses his lead to Diddy Kong, and struggle as he might, he ended up in third place. DK Mountain... the computer tries to item rape poor Miian once again. The race was tight for the most part, but the persistent Mii got a Golden Mushroom and took the lead in the final lap. He was about to cross the finish line, when... yes, the Blue Shell of Doom struck him once again, making him just lose to Diddy Kong. And finally, N64 Bowser's Castle. Diddy Kong took an early lead, and the turns ruin his chances at hurling Red Shells. All seemed lost... but then! Diddy was flattened by a Thwomp. Even yet another Blue Shell wasn't enough to take out Miian, who came in 1st. But, a shocking revelation... due to the third place in Peach Gardens, Miian did not win the Lightning Cup. All seemed lost... and yet, when the silver trophy came up, so did the ranking... 2 stars. 2 stars, despite coming in second place. His skills at dodging obstacles, not hitting walls, keeping on the road, start boosts, and being in 1st for large portions triumphed over his 2nd place finish. With this triumph, Miian took on the Special Cup. First up, Dry Dry Ruins. Miian was trailing at the beginning, but a well-timed Golden Mushroom placed him in the first spot. However, tragedy struck when in the 3rd lap, a Blue Shell-Red Shell combo within the ruins, pushed him down to the 5th spot. Only an item could save him... and the item to come up was... the dreaded Thundercloud. Miian decided to take a huge gamble and keep the Thundercloud's speed boost and off-road negation, rather than pass it on. When he reached the final stretch, he went for the sandy part, the one that the regular staff ghost liked to use its Mushroom on... he leaped into the air, and just at that point, a POW Block appeared. Since Miian was in the air, he was not affected, but all his competitors were. Miian dashed for the finish line, placing in first before the Thundercloud struck. In Moonview Highway, Miian once again came in first, despite hitting several cars that swerved in front of him. In Bowser's Castle, he triumphed by a huge lead, one that a well-timed Thunderbolt couldn't prevent. Finally, Rainbow Road. The computer tried to keep up with Miian... but, they went too fast for their own good! Everytime a CPU came close, they wound up falling off the track! Miian won a 4th time, took home the gold, and another two-star ranking. So, if you see a racer named 'Miian', with a star ranking, remember the efforts he went through, the CPU BS he had to endure, to get that coveted star. He no longer fears the CPU. |

Goddammit, where are all the tissues? I just used up a whole box, reading that story... *starts slow clap* Bravo, Miian, you brave soul! Bravo! I've been there, and I know what extraordinary courage it takes to endure those trials... You're an inspiration to us all. By the way, I got three stars on the Mirror Special Cup.  Buhahahaha! *scampers away*
