Old Comic -> "Rescue Me" --> http://indimew.deviantart.com/art/Rescue-Me-page-1-48305119 New Comic-> "Lullabies of Time" --> http://indimew.deviantart.com/art/Lullabie...Time-1-78993543 There I went and said it. haha. Anyway, after knowing that there was buzzing about Pokemon Platinum, I figured I'd post out here and see what kind of responses I could get. I've previously done a mystery dungeon fan comic in which some of my online buds have appeared as characters. With my new MD comic, I'm looking for cameos, and possibly some interesting characters to intertwine storylines to. So...if you're interested...here's the form to join. Pokemon that you want to be: Name: Description: (Personality description more or less, the physical description will be easy enough ^-^) Quirks: (likes and dislikes) What you (as a pokemon) absolutely cannot stand: How you act in the face of danger: How you act normally: (Inquisitive? Cautious? Hyper or calm?) Any special markings?: (Please do not add a ton of bells and whistles to this one, like being a phanphy covered in stars or something. Variations of stripes, hair, ears, etc are expected in the pokemon world but nothing outrageous.) Outfit: (ex- Skitty wore a silk scarf around her neck. Pretty much anything is allowed here, except pimp hats =) ) Anything else?: |

Wow, so you made these? You're quite the artist... I'll have to remember that. Anyways, I'll go with this. Pokemon that you want to be: Dragonite (My second favourite Pokemon, and the one that I feel fits me best) Name: Dracian ('Drayseean', not 'Drakeean') Description: Basically your standard Dragonite; kind, loves to help others, a bit of a softie... unless provoked, in which he becomes violent and hard to control. For physical, his skin (scales?) is a darker shade or orange than normal, and is a bit fatter than an average Dragonite (his friends blame his eating habits). He is the oldest of his friends, but not by a huge amount. Quirks: Likes eating (particularly sweet food), relaxing, playing games, rescuing others, dislikes battling (despite his strength, he doesn't fight often; he usually manages the items and heals others), his friends teasing him about his eating or his refusal to fight, rescue teams that care more about the reward than helping them What you (as a pokemon) absolutely cannot stand: Seeing his friends getting hurt How you act in the face of danger: If he absolutely must fight, is a powerful opponent who will not stop until his foe is defeated. The longer he fights, the angrier he gets. How you act normally: Calm and easygoing, though not a pushover. Very friendly. Any special markings?: None Outfit: Wears a silver bracelet on his left arm (is left-handed) Anything else?: Generally doesn't like being the leader, but is sometimes pushed into that role. His signature move is Outrage. |

Great work on those comics. Anyway, I'll go with Ninetales, one of my all-time favourite Pokemon. Pokemon that you want to be: Ninetales Name: Kyuubi (couldn't help it) Description: Kyuubi is a calm, usually quiet Pokemon who enjoys hanging out with his friends. He's usually pretty upbeat but he doesn't talk much; only when someone directly adresses him or he feels something needs to be said. He's also very lazy, and avoids all forms of work, prefering to sleep or go play a game. Quirks: He loves spicy food. What you (as a pokemon) absolutely cannot stand: Having someone grab one of his tails or rub his fur the wrong way. How you act in the face of danger: Tries to avoid getting in trouble in the first place. If he can't, he tries to end the fight quickly without getting hurt. How you act normally: Calm and incredibly tolerant. Fairly friendly and trusting towards others, but also a little withdrawn. Any special markings?: Mane of hair at the back of his neck is thicker and wilder than usual. Outfit: None Anything else?: Nope |

LOL. Keep in mind that you appear not by equality necessarily but by how characters fit the scene and storyline. However you're not gonna appear in one page and not in the others... Just informing you so no one will be angry and/or jealous. Also--do you want me to post updates here? |

Hurrah! You know I love those comics! This is kind of a mix between a pokemon character of mine and myself. She's meaner than I am. Pokemon that you want to be: Umbreon Name: Moonshadow Description: Medium-sized, normally colored female Umbreon. Usually lays her ears back Quirks: Moonshadow is fairly reserved, fairly quiet, but she has a rather mean, vindictive streak. This is usually displayed as sarcasm, and then only in a group of people. One-on-one, she's a little nicer, a little more helpful. Also, a little cryptic. Battle style involves lots of status-inducing attacks, and taunting. What you (as a pokemon) absolutely cannot stand: Others being too sentimental, or too indecisive. Also tail/ear pulling. How you act in the face of danger: Strategist- Quick to organize and proactive in planning a defense or escape. When caught off guard, will flee until she can organize. How you act normally: Sarcastic, cynical. Any special markings?: Nope, but her rings have a strong glow. Outfit: 'Smokeball' item worn on a necklace Anything else?: Nope Edit: Doodled her: [Link] |

Oh, so KFox ISN'T the Eevee in the first comic? Hmm... well, you can never have too much Umbreon. More people should try this out! Find your inner Pokemon (which is the point of MD in the first place). And yes, I'd like to see you post updates here. indimew, how good an artist do you consider yourself to be? I'd... be interested to know. |

Well... Sub par? Personally with so many good artists on deviant art, I feel that I'm not bad but I'm not amazing either. However, those who are good constantly seek to improve, and hell...Da Vinci and Van Gogh and alla those thought they sucked as well and wanted to be even better. They had people they idolized. So quite honestly...I really don't rank myself. I draw because I love to draw and my art makes people smile. I work at my art cuz I want to get better for myself. And no, KFox isn't the Eevee in the first comic. That Eevee would be another friend of mine, Yoiko. Kia is (me) from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon blue and the Charmeleon is another friend named Corvus.. |

I would like to be Pachirisu~ Name: Pani (pronouned pah-nee) Description: Kinda like the Pachirisu in the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl series, but not as hyperactive and more random Quirks: She likes fluffy things and will do absolutely anything for one and would touch fluffy things without thinking. And she's kinda clumsy What you (as a pokemon) absolutely cannot stand: Pokemon who are stingy and grumpy all the time. She wants everyone to be happy-go-lucky like her. How you act in the face of danger: She laughs! No, but seriously, she doesn't get scared, but she isn't brave either. She sometimes does the right thing but also sometimes does the wrong thing to make the situation worse How you act normally: Hm. She's optimistic and tenacious but will lose motivation after a while. Any special markings?: She has two stripes from her forehead, down her back and tail instead of the original one. Outfit: A blue ribbon around it's left front paw. That's all I can think of. x33 Pachi~ Pachi~ |

Well, there are quite a few Pogeymanz fans here, so it's to be expected. Y'know, if you can't fit in everyone, you could always save them for a later comic. *Imagines a full group of GSF-based Pokemon as a Rescue Team* I don't know if we'd be the world's greatest rescue team, or the world's worst... |

SOMETHING. I dunno. I've worked in quite a few of you anyways. It's just how to thread the characters through without being awkward or overbearing. Edit: oop! Just got a perfect idea on how to make it all work! Woot! |

If I had to guide the group through an area for some reason, we'd be the world's worst team, hands down. They'd have to send another rescue team just to find us. Which reminds me, I'm going to add a few things to Kyuubi's description if it isn't too late. |

Heh. Poor Celebi. Good work. Oh yeah, I forgot to ask earlier. I havn't actually played a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, what are they like? I know you form a rescue team and don't have a trainer, but that's it. |

@ YP: It's not like the other Pokemon games...it's what's called a dungeon crawler game. Basically you just go into dungeons with random generating maps, so they're never the same, and fight your way down the levels, collecting items and avoiding traps all along the way. At the end of each dungeon is usually a boss fight or something that progresses the story along. There's actually LOTS of games like this (I was a big fan of Dokapon Monster Hunter for the GBA), except these ones have a Pokemon theme to them. At the beginning you answer some questions to decide what Pokemon you are, you pick your starting partner, and then you delve into the caves and forests and what not, rescuing lost Pokemon, fighting outlaws, and retrieving lost items, and sometimes recruiting other wild Pokemon to your team (You can get almost every Pokemon to join your team, even legendaries. I think some are limited to the certain games...for example, you can't get Mewtwo in Explorers of Time...he only comes with Explorers of Darkness). Eventually the story takes hold and the rescue/exploration missions take a back burner to the overlying quest to save teh world. Although I was disapointed when I realized they were more like spin offs than actual Pokemon games, they're honestly quite fun. Bit time consuming...but still fun. Hope this helps... Oh, and I'm trying to think of a character for this topic, but I can't make up my mind...More on that later. |

Hm....sounds sort of like Digimon World 4, except that the dungeons aren't random in that game. |

Actually, more like Digimon World 2, except replace the tank thing with you and your partner, and take out the FF-esque battle transitions. It all just takes place in the dungeon. DW 4 is more like hack and slash than turn based dungeon crawler. Speaking of Digimon World, did anyone play the first one for the PS? Holy Zombie Jesus that game was fun...I STILL play that sometimes. Why did every one after the first suck? |

Oh. I've only actually played number 4. I bought it as a gift for TheCount and he's only played it about 10 times. For about an hour each time. He won't even let me play because he doesn't want me getting farther than him. ;_; I think my step-brother rented it. You could hatch Digi-eggs and bring one Digimon around with you at a time right? And there was one area where time moved quickly, and another where it was slowed down? If so, then yes, that game looked incredible. Never got to play it though..... |

I hated the first digimon game. Mine ALWAYS DIED. ALWAYS. Hate.... 2 was okay. Don't think I ever finished it. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, the first one had a great storyline to it. I cried at the end. lol. It's a good friendship story, I believe. Was actually inspired by 'Explorers of Time' for my comic. But...only before it came out. Haven't played it yet...but I thought it might be a time traveling game? |
