Rumors of the third game in the 4th gen have been swirling for a while now, but we now have concrete evidence. http://serebii.net/index2.shtml Woo! Now all we need is the G/S remake. |

Yup, this is awesome. Looks like the Trainers get new colours, like they did with the hats in Emerald... Although, when you think about it... wouldn't 'Platinum' have made more sense for the third second-gen game, and 'Crystal' for this gen? And yes, we needz the Johto remake. Johto with 4th-gen skills/stats would be total win. |

It looks like Giratina on the Platinum box?? So..what else comes with Platinum? It's rare that pokemon will be released with only one game instead of two. It also makes me wonder how far pokemon can go? I mean, really. There will come a time when it all ends...I suppose. |

Yup, Giratina is the Platinum posterchild, it seems. Anyways... the third version is usually standalone, isn't it? Crystal and Emerald were by themselves (albeit, had side games released around the same time) And, who knows? Mario and Zelda and such are still around; who says Pokemon can't stay around for a long time, too? As long as they can create new Pokemon, they don't need to stop any time soon. |

Yeah, Platinum is just the third game in the fourth generation. It's the equivalent of Yellow version in the Red and Blue days. It's the exact same game, but it has a bunch of extra (usually cool and awesome) stuff thrown in. |

When I finally get my 3D, beautifully detailed, massively multi-player online, REAL Pokemon game that has the same feel as the hand-held counter parts(not that silly Colosseum/XD nonsense with the 'Shadow Pokemon.'), I'll be willing to consider they've done the series justice. Nintendo's forays into the console area of the Pokemon games have been lackluster at best...it's almost an in the bag thing if they made the kind of game I've stated that it'd sell like candy at Halloween... |

I definitely liked Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 better than Colosseum, XD, and Battle Revolution combined... Seriously. At least they had minigames. |

I liked Colosseum. That Espeon was crazy-awesome. Really, though, I got Colosseum and XD just for the Pokedex. I needed Lugia and Ho-Oh. >_> And the Johto starters. I didn't expect to like Colosseum, but I did. |

XD was alright. Loved the Eevee starter in that. Espeon and Umbreon as starters, awesome. I miss the mini games and I wish that they would create new moves for the pokemon. I mean like new programmed actions. Anyone who has followed the N64 and Gamecube versions recognized the same actions repeated over and over. It can get a bit boring... Wish you could turn the animations off though. And since they have over 400 pokemon, there's a reason they don't program new actions. Alright. makes sense now with the Yellow, Emerald, and Crystal appearance. Didn't think of it that way. Perhaps they'll make Argus, Shaymin, and Giratina a more important part in Platinum? Also--what will they keep naming their pokemon games? How much higher do you get from Diamond, Pearl, and platinum? |

See, I've been saying this exact same thing for years. Seriously. ... Although I liked Colosseum/XD. But needs moar minigames. Platinum looks interesting. Certainly the new forms of the legendaries. Hopefully it will have tons of little goodies like emerald/crystal/yellow did. And G/S remakes would be win. Johto was my favorite region. |

Johto is the best region by far. One of the contributing factors to that though is that you could also visit Kanto. I still insist that Nintendo needs to make a Pokemon game in which all regions are accessible. |

Let's not forget, Gold is awesome (he and Red are the best male playable Trainers, easily), it debuted the female trainer, and Silver is the best rival attitude-wise, and knows just the right times to bug you. There were only two problems with G/S/C; Kanto didn't have that much to it, and the enemy trainers, with few exceptions, were almost always underlevelled (you're fighting Rockets at the Lake of Rage with Pokemon lower-levelled than Whitney's Pokemon, seriously... and how did Lance LOSE Pokemon levels in three years?) A remake could easily change both of these (several trainers in Yellow have higher-levelled Pokemon than the Red and Blue versions did) |

The only difficult battle in that entire game was Red, and he uses a Pikachu. |

Yeah, Blue/Gary/whatever was, in my opinion, the best rival. "La de dee do da.....I'm off to fight Giovanni again!" "Hey, what took you so long?" "......HOW THE HECK DID YOU GET IN HERE!? I had to fight my way through hundreds of Team Rocket members to save the people here, and when I'm finally near the end, what do I find? You sitting here waiting to fight me now that I'm exhausted from fighting non-stop!? Get out!" "But I-" "OUT!" His random appearances got pretty annoying, but he was still a cool rival. All of his Pokemon were awesome too. |

*wandering around the SS Anne after walking into every room and fighting a bunch of trainers* Oh, a long, isolated hallway with no doors... The captain must be -- "'Sup, shrimp?" NOOOOOOOO! Actually, IIRC, he's still not as bad as the G/S rival. I'm pretty sure that bastard appears at the end of Victory Road. |

Victory Road? Yikes....that is harsh. Then again, the guy in R/S/E did that too. Not that he was much of a threat or anything, but still. And as long as we're talking about people from previous games, I have to say that the original Elite Four and Champion are my favourites. There hasn't been an Elite Four member yet who was as cool as Lance. I havn't seen the G/S/C Elite Four though, so I might be wrong, but I doubt they're cooler than the original Dragon-type master. |

Maybe I'm thinking of RSE. I seem to remember the G/S rival doing something similarly devious, though. Maybe he appeared inside the Pokemon League lobby...? |

Silver did both, and he also bugged you in the Rocket's Hideout (although his encounter was earlier than Blue's) ... and, to top it all off, he kicks you. |

Lance remains the coolest of the Elite Four, hands down. Stephen (I think that's his name) was pretty good as well, but not as good as Lance. I miss Lance. |

I concur, Lance was kickass. The Dragonite man will always be the greatest Elite Four member. However, he made a better Elite Four Member than Champion, for some reason (except for his Stadium version, of course). |

New news! Giratina will be getting new forms. One is a sky form, and this is confirmed. You can easily google search it. Another is a land form? Possibly. It's confirmed that japanese names meaning land form and sky form have been copyrighted. So they will be used. While browsing Ebay...I did find something that looked like Giratina, on four legs. Yellow, with two weird wings. LOOKED like Giratina. Didn't look like ANY pokemon I have EVER seen. Definitely not Arceus (or however you spell it) So I'm gonna jump on this one and say it's Giratina's land form. Sky form definitely kicks butt though! |

Indi, I don't think Sky is confirmed. There was a very convincing fake, if you're thinking of this one: http://purplekecleon.deviantart.com/art/Sh...-Forme-86526449 Fakedy fake fake. Lol. The rumored Shaymin alt is supposedly Ice type anyway, but that's all still wild and crazy rumors. Giratina however is confirmed to have a second forme (Yes, with an e) , known as his "origin" forme: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Giratina (Where I originally saw the image, but they've been down lately but here's the same pic just from a less credible source, and with extra junk around it for good measure: http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u84/Pok...ina_Picture.jpg ). It can also be seen in the poster for the 11th movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giratina_to_S...anataba:_Sheimi Maybe the yellow one you're thinking of is Giratina's shiny color? |
