I am a fan of superhero movies (good ones, that is), and I am a fan of Iron Man.

I'm going to see it... I dunno, but I WILL see it.

EDIT: Okay, turns out it'll be today. This afternoon!

Okay, that was kickass. Robert Downey Jr. is perfect as Tony Stark, and the armor looks awesome. Funny and action-packed... totally worth it. Definitely one of the best superhero movies out there.

Is it wrong that I like Spidey better as a superhero, but liked Iron Man better as a movie?

NO.

also i'm watching iron man online right now. i gotta say i like it so far.

thats a good sign because when your watching a moving on your little laptop with a poor quality video, the movie tends to seem worse then it actually is.

I don't know why people watch movies from computers :|

the whole experience of movies is that they're meant to be watched on massive screens, you might as well be watching a two hour TV show or some shit like that

Saw it tonight. Quality, but Spiderman 3 will probably be my favorite superhero movie forever.

Because it has Venom in it.

Nothing can top that.

Cause paying $8 dollars for a ticket, 3.50 for a soda, 2 more for some pop corn, and another 2 for some candy, if you're in the mood for sweetness, is a ridiculous gamble for a movie you're not even sure will be worth it. Besides, sometimes you just can't get out to the theater.

But they did Venom so...badly.... The guy they got to play him was all wrong...Venom is not a silly little manboy. Venom is a big hulking monster dude... The guy they got was too silly. And he only got like...what...15-25 minutes screen time, at the very end? Not to mention you had to go through all the ridiculous to get to Venom...honestly, what it in circling fsck is with the Jazz club scene? 3 was the worst out of the bunch for me...

Except Venom's actor didnt do him well and the actual venom had like 5 minutes of screentime.

Saw Iron Man the day after it came out. Amazing amazing film.

Oh yeah, Venom was awesome in Spidey 3.

All 20 minutes of him.

Oh, and the symbiote suit was also pretty badass.

All 20 minutes of it.

I saw this yesterday, and I have to say, it was awesome. I thought it was odd they didn't have Iron Man's main enemy from the comics (The Mandarin) but then I realized that a bunch of terrorists would make more sense than an undead chinese warlock. >_>

Awesome movie.

Of course. Always appeal to the masses. In the early James Bond movies, the enemies were almost always Russian. Coincidence? Of course not.

Well, I know that they were thinking about having the Mandarin as the main enemy... although, I think they might use him for the sequel (note all the references to him... the terrorist organization is called the Ten Rings, the leader of the people who kidnapped Tony wore a ring, and the same character mentions Genghis Khan, whom the Mandarin claims to be a direct descendant of)

Plus, they also hint at an appearance of War Machine, which also would be awesome (the guy who plays James Rhodes is a fan of the character)

Consider it a hyperbole. Tl;dr version - Free beats paying.

I noted that when Rhodie looked over at the other suit near the end and was all like 'Maybe next time, baby.' XD

I agree, Vyse. You have good taste in supervillains.

... I like Venom, but when he's a supervillain. That whole' Lethal Protector' didn't go well with me. I hope Mac Gargan can set him back on track.

I have a better idea: Carnage. Or, better yet: Venom somehow makes a return and is actually awesome and huge like he's supposed to be instead of what looked like a gay Eric Foreman this time around.

To be honest, I did kinda like the 'anti-Peter' type for Eddie Brock... that over-muscled guy who pops out of nowhere I'm not that fond of. And I just don't like Carnage. I like my supervillains with at least some depth, plz.

Lizard, however, would be awesome, especially since they've already got a Dr. Connors. Electro and Mysterio, if done right, would be awesome. I quite like Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley, NOT Jason Macendale; the only good thing about Macendale was that he was voiced by Mark Hamill in the cartoon), but probably not, since we've had two Green Gobbys.
