We should make teams out of these Pokemon, then just have another favourite fill in for the legendary and see who's favourites are the best in battle. >_> I just realized something. If we did do this, I'd end up having three water-types. Edited by Yaypenguins, Jul 19 2008, 02:57 PM.

>_> dabuz, if you really did go with your favourites, all one would need is Electric, Fire or Ice, and Dark to take out your team. Well, the only bad part with mine is two water types. Otherwise, I think I'd have one of the strongest 'favourite' teams. |

1. SD was referring to YP's idea of making teams out of our favorites and fighting with those, not with our actual competitive teams ( Well, your teams. I still don't have a 4th gen game, though I have a few ideas for competitive teams if I ever get one. ).2. Your competitive teams has a few minor problems. You shouldn't use moves like Fly and Hyper Beam because they give your opponent a turn to set up their counterattack. You probably shouldn't use unevolved Pokes since they're obviously inferior to their evolved form either. And then there's something you kind of addressed: you should never, EVER have that many Pokemon that have the same weakness. It makes it way too easy for someone to sweep your team. The separate Pokes are all pretty good barring Rattata ( Even when that thing evolves it isn't that great. ), but as a team they're just not a very viable competitive setup. |

lol, he doesn't know about the Rattata trick. Or if you do, it's odd that you put some much downage on that Rattata. |

If you're gonna have an FEAR Rattata, keep it at level one, and use a Focus Sash. Also, if you acknowledge that you have a huge ice weakness, why don't you actually fix it instead of using a gimmick Pokemon to "counter" it? |

(For the sake of the creating a team concept I've included the evolved forms where I'd take them.) Overall: Scyther Starter: Cyndaquil (Typhlosion) Legendary: Dialga 1st Gen: Meowth (Persian) Second Gen: Sneasel (Weavile) Third Gen: Sableye Fourth Gen: Finding it really hard to argue with Lucario... |

I've decided! I'm going to build this team and see how it does in battle! However, after seeing how poorly Gallade does in...well...every Shoddy Battle match I've been in, I'd have to say that for the 4th gen my new favourite is either Electivire or Lucario. |

Well, in my case, I know that all the Pokemon I have are solid (I once saw Feraligatr solo an entire team), and my team is somewhat close to that anyways... Come to think of it, I should work on a semi-competitive team (in my case, I'm only worrying about the Pokemon types, their moves, and held items, no EVs or IVs or such) once I get my DS back. |

You could always get Shoddy Battle, SD. Lets you make your team without all of the breeding for IVs and natures and egg moves and EV training and leveling to make it evolve... Yeah. Just making the Pokemon and battling them. The only preparation, really, is determining exactly what EVs and moves to give the Pokemon. The good thing is that if you try something and it doesn't work, fixing it requires only a few clicks instead of possibly having to start all over with a new Pokemon. |
