As you all know, Pokemon Trainer has three Pokemon: Charizard, Squirtle, and Ivysaur. As you know, to play the character well, you need to use all three of them. That being said, which of the three is the very best, like no one ever was? If you've been seeing my posts, you already know which of the three is my favourite; Ivysaur. Good range, arguably the best Tether Recovery in the game (seeing as Olimar's can be screwed up if there aren't enough Pikmin), a good projectile, Bullet Seed can really rack up damage, and his Up Smash is one of the strongest finishers around. |

I'd call Squirtle the best. That little devil is a beast if used right. Ivysaur is pretty awesome, too, but it has a little drawback in tether recovery, the most easily gimped recovery in the game. |

It's hard to say who the best is, but I went with my favorite because of that. Squirtle is a beast, his recovery is really good, his B move is great if used right. His attacks are quick and actually quite powerful. The only problem is Ivysaur's upsmash can kill at super low %'s... He's just not as fast. |

I'm going to have to vote for Charizard. He moves much quicker than you'd think, and his Rock Smash is an amazing finisher. His aerials are all good (not as good as Squirtle's of course, but hey) and his tilt A attack has really good range. |

I picked Squirtle. But it would've been better if his alternate costume gave him sunglasses. |

I switch my vote from Squirtle to Charizard (can't actually change it, but hey...). He's heavy, and I know how to make heavy characters fast, so woot. |

Well let's see. it's hard to say who the best is, though I'm partial to Charizard now that I think about it and have seen HoT use him. |

I will say this; if I could only use one of them, it would be Charizard. He's the heaviest, the best recovery of the three (Squirtle's Waterfall can be screwed up if he's going the wrong way, and Ivysaur has a Tether Recovery). and has the best killing moves overall (Ivysaur's Up Smash is still the strongest, but sometimes you need more variety). PT is all about matchups, just like in Pokemon. That's what I enjoy most about playing him. |

I Personally would choose Squirtle, just because I enjoy faster characters, but Charizard is the best IMO. |

I would choose Ivysaur, but his recovery makes me think otherwise. Instead, I'll choose Squirtle. He's the smallest character in the game, he has awesome throws, aerials, and special moves, and he is fast. Good enough for me!

Well having watched HoT play with Ivysaur, who can use his up B to recover from practically off the screen in battlefield... I'd say Ivysaur's recovery shouldn't be counted out. |

It's because everyone here has honour except for Poltergust. Interestingly, Tether Recoveries are the best edgehogging moves in the game. |

Actually if used correctly, believe it or not Meta Knight's dimensional cape is one of the best edgehogging moves in the game o.O but yeah, tether recovs are great for edgehogging. |

I must say, the more I play, the more Squirtle impresses me. Which is odd, since in the previous two games I didn't like playing as fast, light characters. Plus, he's Squirtle. It seems weird that Jigglypuff got in first over him and Charz (but I guess it's a popularity thing... and no offense to Jiggly) |
