They're focusing on the lead characters for development. -Gainax apologizes to Megami because the movie will focus a whole lot more on the male characters. Nia will have the only prominent female role in the film, she will be the main heroine. Yoko and the three sisters will be more on the line of secondary characters. -Imaishi wants to give it a different mood/direction style more fitting of a film while still conveying the same excitement -All new soundtrack/animation ^poster

I love Yoko, but Nia's so cute <3 Anyway, I wonder what this movies gonna be about...Kamina and Nia never meet, and yet they're both in this movie... Alternate timeline maybe? It would be amazing if it were a "Kamina survives" scenario

It was really sad what happened to him. >>;;; I think I stopped a few episodes after Nia showed up since I haven't had time to watch the rest. And I'm not sure. It says it's going to have an alernate storyline, doesn't it? Maybe it's just an alternate scenario.

Super Special Awesome GSF Designer Posts: 873 Group: Referee Member #20 Joined: January 28, 2008	Disapproving of retcon Doob is disapproving. Not a fan of retcons...it messes things up. You should only have to go back and change canon if either A. you made a mistake, or B. it makes the story better. Protip: B almost is never the case. And there was nothing wrong with the original show. That being said, I won't miss it. I didn't see anything from the second half of the series (after the time skip)in that clip...is that being featured too, or are they throwing that out the window? I liked both halves equally, and it'd be a shame to throw any part away...

Though...I really wish Kamina would have lived, and I think it could have made for an amazing movie, I think everyone liked Kamina It looks like possible timeskip kamina at 00:33 then it shows timeskip Simon shortly after btw on a completely unrelated note the final TTGL DVD boxart is AMAZINGLY BADASS

I've always thought of Kamina's death as being necessary....though quite sudden. That's just me though. I don't doubt that this will be an INTERESTING movie...if it is some strange alternate universe where he does survive, that would change the whole thing... Glad about the time skip things....if only it means I might be able to see more of Lord Genome's head in a jar.

It was a good ending...it was just so sad, and I felt really bad for Simon. I mean, he lost his mother, father, "brother" and wife. >_> Then he ended up living on the streets. I just wish they'd make a "good end"
