Toon Link is pretty good. I think it's odd that with his smashes, the first time he does it is not as strong as the second time (when he yells HAH).....maybe Link is the same way and I just haven't noticed (don't play a lot with Link). My only two gripes is the name (WW Link couldn't work?) and his FS. Seriously, we could have had lots of things...like those three islands from WW (the three goddess ones) would just show up in the background shooting lasers and what not...

I've gotten used to the name Toon Link, but the FS still bugs me.

Anyways, I really enjoy Toon Link; probably my 4th favourite character right now after Luigi, Ike, and Pokemon Trainer (Though I also really like Lucas and Zelda as well). His smashes are for some reason better than Link's, though he has weaker projectiles (the opposite of Young Link, ironically).

Not to mention, he has good taunts, victory poses, and probably the best alt. colours in the game (Dark Toon Link, Four Swords Colours, and CLASSIC NES/SNES/GB LINK!)

Toon Link is better than Link. His aerials are better, his smashes are better, and I think his hookshot has more range than Link's clawshot.

Toon Link is awesome.

Vyse, didn't you hate Toon Link when the roster was first revealed? :P

I hated his name and the fact that he seemed to be just Young Link with a different style. >_>

But Toon Link is so much better than Y. Link.

The aerial Down-A is stupid. If I wanted an anvil drop, I'd just use Kirby.

The aerial down A is amazing. He can move during it unlike kirby, and can hit multiple times...unlike Kirby. Also hes not a rock for like five seconds after.

All you have to do is press B to transform back to normal. You don't need to wait it out.

My main problem is the extreme downward motion of it. It's not like with Link where you can actually move places rather than having to hit first to move freely again.

You actually don't have to hit first to move freely again. <_< It IS possible to cancel it, although I'm not sure how, I've done it before.

I've noticed that as long as you have some upward force acting with you (momentum from a jump, hit by an attack, etc.), you won't actually go down, but pull off the Y. Link-style attack. That doesn't really help, though. =/

But yeah, I have no problem with Toon Link (he's my fourth main now, after Mario, Pikachu, and Ike), but that one move just isn't within my realm of playing. Which is interesting, as I'll have to find a way to make my air-to-ground approach better with him.

Haha, Bowser did that to me once while I was Toon Link... Hit me up and I used the down a aerial, I went down slower then anything. However you can cancel the aerial...

Well, after seeing more Link and Toon Link comparisons, it seems that the Twilight Wolf does have his advantages over Link... but I say the Hero of the Winds is still the better one.

What's great is that you can play him both long-range (Vyse loves his projectiles) or close-range (Vyse also loves his Master Sword... and I'm more of a close-range kind of guy, so this suits me).

If you think about it, most of the characters whom people were iffy about being in the game turned out to be awesome. Snakey, Wolfy, Olimary, and Toon Linky, just to name a few.

Oy, oy, I only SD with it because of lag or the occasional ambitious spike. One time, the lag was so bad, I did 3 attacks in the air before I did that move and SDd. >_>
