It tells you the episode title. spoilers i guess for anyone who hasnt watched 8 Farewell Comrades. Plus, Kamina giving a speech to Simon in the preview? Episode 8 made me cry manly tears on the inside. Indeed, Kamina was the manliest man that ever existed. Anyways, I wouldnt watch previews in general. except after the credits in episode 27, because thats not a preview, but the ending of Gurren Lagann >_> |

True, but it doesn't make him less awesome. Seriously, I have never seen a character as manly and or awesome as Kamina. Well, maybe Kittan or Simon....Mu from GS is also pretty manly, but Kamina ftw >->b
GL is a bit different imo. It has the same craziness as FLCL(lol Kamina/Kittan), but its not really that random... and has more serious/emotional moments. I honestly think GL is one of Gainax's best or better works... Part of its awesome is how damn hotblooded it is. Okay, I said I wasn't going to say which was better until the end (I'm on episode 17), but I have to say this: *still some spoilers (might as well put it in the topic title >_>)* Gundam Seed is winning by a landslide because of episode 8. Killing Kamina was NOT cool and completely unnecessary. Yes, Simon needed to get out of Kamina's shadow, but Nia clearly did that for him barely even knowing what the heck happened. By putting Nia in the show and giving her the role they did, they completely eliminated the reason for Kamina even needing to die in the first place. Not cool. So yeah, Nia should just go dance on his grave or something. >_> At least Gundam Seed had good reasons for people dying.

SPOILERS Kamina's death was needed. Its because of that that Simon became who he was. Also, the Gurren Brigade completely reforms because of Kamina, and you see this more in the final ten episodes. Simon would have never became as confident as he did without a combination of Kamina's passing and Nia's arrival. I thought Kamina's death was sad but good....Simon is now carrying Kamina's will inside him, and you can see this with how he acts at the end of part 1 and how he acts after the timeskip. Simon using Giga Drill Breaker at the end of episode 11? Obviously due to Kamina's influence. And in the end, they're fighting a war. People die in wars. Kamina is still extremely important to Simon, they name a ****ing city after him. Also, how was Nia expected to know anything about Kamina's death? And dude, you can't say all of SEED's deaths were needed. Was Flay's really needed? As much as I hate her, in the end of seed, she dies, gets like a two min scene as a spirit...and then is forgotten about. Also, Tolle's death. Was it nessacary(maybe, for Athrun and Kira to finally unite, but stilll, this could have been done without killing off Tolle/Nicol.) Yeah, I didn't like Nia either at first(like how she completely replaced Kamina-even in the opening), but she becomes better in part 2. Not to mention, spoilers Kamina has one appearance left before the end of the series, hopefully this will change your views on his death. |

I love this anime and managed to get a few people in my animu club into it. It's amazing. It's manly. It's hot. It's everything a man could want in an anime. Also in b4 kenny and gundam seed. |

...has anyone been watching the dub on the Sci-Fi channel? This is apparently old news but I hadn't heard anything about it (or I just forgot) until I turned off my Wii just now and saw it. Not liking what I'm hearing. I'll be sticking to the subs for this one. |

This ova comes exclusevie with the nintendo ds game (only japan release) and this and the game take place betwen chapters 7 and 8 or 6 and 7 i dont renember. this anime indeed the best anime ever and the best mecha anime the only thing better than this is this itself. |
